Who is our Teleflora Rep.

You need to look at your reps telefloral, they are not helping with us, this makes me want to get rid of our teleflora wire services, we have a pos with you also. I love the system pos but i am ready to get a new pos system. You need to help your members out before you lose your florist.

Call Teleflora Customer service- They will not only tell you who your rep is but also how to get in contact with them.

True, you should contact them, especially if you have an issue.

However, it does take 2 to tango and, after all, TF members are contributing to the salary of the TF rep and, regardless of how many members any given rep has, they should be making an effort to contact you. The contact does not have to be in the form of regular visits - even one a decade is regular, IF it is once a decade, preferably in the same week/month - and could be by e-mail, DOVE or 'phone. In over 5 years I have not seen my rep but I do have her e-mail address and, occasionally, she will respond - it in part depends on the subject line of the e-mail I find but everyone seems to be different in this regard - and I am awaiting a reply from her, after 9 days, to out-standing questions on the TF delivery confirmation "process".

You guys must have crappy reps or I have a big mouth. My rep knows me.

I'm on a first name basis with my rep. I've known her since I was at Farmington Floral in 2000. She would come up to Durango as well and then we got this other rep in Colorado named Rick- Who I can't stand BTW. In fact I told him to leave the shop (April's). But Kathy is still the rep for New Mexico...Maybe West Texas as well. But I'm not sure.

Kathy is calm cool and collected. Don't get me wrong I have been upset more than once, but over all she's pretty good. She's always at the TF events and will answer any questions you have.

The FTD rep in NM is a total jerk. And a cocky jerk at that. I'm so glad we aren't FTD.

We had one, wrote her emails after VD, no response. After a month of waiting we Called her phone number, and then found out from her message that she was no longer with T/F. Lasted 6 months, maybe. Thought it was unlikely she was gonna stay (She used to wholesale Beer ;(. With unemployment being so high, and so many experienced reps out there, T/F could only hire one from the Alcoholic industry who lasted 6 months or so. After several phone calls and e-mails we were able to get a response from the VP who is based out of Florida. We had a great Rep who has been promoted and moved to Charleston. We don't need to see them in person. It is just nice to know who to communicate with when we have any issues.

I am pretty sure Cheri (i think) is the name of the rep for the southeast. I talked to her quite a bit when we first took over the shop, but then I was assigned a new rep for about 3 months. Cheri contacted me once again to say that the new rep had been fired and she was in charge of my area again. I haven't talked to her in over a year, but I am pretty sure she said that she covers all of the southeast now.

I agree. stay away from WS POS systems. We use Floral Accounting Systems, and I think it is a solid program. The customer service is top notch

WS POS are wayyyyy overpriced, and then you can only get support (which you have to pay top dollar for) if you remain a WS member. Wire services are going through a serious period of transition. I would not invest in them long term.

I will say this....when we had problems with our phone system in December my Teleflora rep went to the trouble of finding a local business nearby, calling them and having them walk a message over to me with the reps cell phone number to see if there was any way they could help. Shocked the daylights out of me (Thanks Shawn by the way!)

I think it's the crappy rep part Shannon. When Stew was our rep he would call to check in. Came and introduced himself when I took over the shop and chit chatted at convention. We received a message over the dove that we had a new rep and that was about it. I would think that you would want to know who was writing your paychecks. I also understand that it's a 2 way street but it would only take a day to call every shop and introduce themselves. My wholesalers and ad reps have no problem touching base to make sure they are doing everything they can to service our shop.

There ARE good reps out there, in all three companies. They are over worked, and over burdened. My old FTD rep, Bob Martin always did a great job, I'd see him about every 3 months. Imagine a job where everyone (almost) complained to you, and where you were required to visit 14 shops a day, every day. Not hard to do in Detroit, but try that in the UP of Michigan when they are 100+ miles apart...

Like everything else, it's the squeeky wheel that get's greased... but here too, it's the Top member who get rep face time to keep them happy and in the fold...

and it IS a management issue because our reps are over extended, not the reps fault. Squeak to the higher ups in TF!!
