I think.. . Just came back from making a delivery -usually don't do that but had to git 'er done...at Publix supermarket. It was an FTD order. Now driving over there I remembered that Publix is one of the markets(a MAJOR market here) that had been signed up by FTD 1 1/2 yrs ago---so why call us to deliver flowers over there??? Well I dropped off the flowers at the front desk and made my to the floral department ( which I must say in this market is outstanding)and spoke for a moment with the floral person. She told me that they had dropped FTD and as of this week dropped 1800. They had a courrier delivering the flowers for them from the store and it just was not working for them!!! Imagine, such a large corporation not wanting to fill discounted orders! I can only hope that the rest of the chain follows suit or perhaps has already. Has anyone else down here seen this change??
I was also sad to note that the local florist who had been in that plaza ( and was excellent) was out of business.
