Thought I would share one of those random thoughts that hit you about 3:00 in the morning.

In the corporate world there is something called working your inbox--which means you don't really have any goals or are working with any sense of urgency--you are just responding to the little day to day things that come up. Whatever email comes in that day sets your activities. You seem busy but you aren't really getting anything accomplished.

As we wade into Summer and business slows down (especially this year), be careful not to let this happen to you. Take advantage of the extra time to set some goals and do good things for your business (or your employees--or yourself). Try some things like reviewing your marketing efforts for effectiveness, updating your website, contacting your best customers and solicit their feedback, spruce up the shop, explore different ideas for pumping up revenue, etc.

You'll be amazed at how much you can get accomplished in three short months.

You got my plan down to a tee!!! After the summer weddings... then comes fall.... then 'lo my CHRISTMAS !!!!!!! YEA!!!!!
Get to start all over again !!!! I'm hopeing I don't have slow down time... How about you?:rofl:

Mea Culpa....

How about updating your delivery fees and pricing minimums for the wire services you belong to instead of sending messages needing more money above your stated minimums?

I took care of that yesterday and asked for a confirmation that it will be updated in the next directory.

I "power-block" to get my goals accomplished. If I don't, I find myself so easily wasting time.
As an event florist, my biggest downfall and distraction from power-blocking is my email because my brides insist on communicating via computer and not a quick conversation on the telephone -- it's frustrating. So now I try to power-block my email...ridiculous...
Go reminder BigTed. Pretty easy to let the lazy days of summer take hold.
