WOW....it's been our busiest,

3 day, NON HOLIDAY stretch we've EVER had, and have ALREADY far surpassed last year's full June sales, and there is STILL another 4 days to go!!
We have NEVER been this overloaded, and have actually had to turn business AWAY...something that has NEVER happened here before!!
You name it, we've had it these last few days....
Sandie and I are OFF from Jun 29th to July 6th, we have much to accomplish in those few days......
Had a power blackout last night, worked by candles and flashlights, for a couple of hours...getting pickups and deliveries ready for this morning...finally stepped next door for a few shut eyes at 2:00 am, and back here at 7:30 this morning....
All I can say is WOW...

It's been like that down here also. Really busy this week. So far our June sales are way up over last years total month sales. Like you with 4 more days to go, this months figures are going to kick but over last year. Don't know what the heck is going on, but I like it:beer

I think that most florists are pesimists about their business. Every year they think that business is not going to be as good as the previous year, and almost invariably it is better. It has been like that ever since I've been involved.

Our June is so slow it is like 15 years ago. It's eerie! You'd think all the people packed up and moved away.

hmm, have set on my laurels the past few days after a week from he??. Remember, am all by myself as my other designer is out ill for who knows how long in a town decimated by layoffs...
But neither here nor there. Had two good sized funerals last week 1 day's notice on both (family flowers both) and a good sized wedding on Sat. With lots of reception prep (cake table, cake, arch etc) Finally sat down on Sat. night in unbelievable heat and humidity after such a cold spring early summer.
This week.......sheesh.......3 orders in..Tel...........2 are 800flowers, refused...........2 orders in FTD hmmm medium...........quite a few credit card orders (thank goodness, money) for Anniversaries (always in June).......bunches of birthdays....And a couple of Betta Gardens. Am currently listening to our local police speak about calling the Medical Examiner and getting in touch with immediate relations.....sounds sinister huh! Small town intrigue....... Actually so far, our June hasn't been much worse then last year but better in the cash flow dept (more credit card, less house chge)........ Missed chat due to unbelievable heat in this corner where the computer is located at home. Sorry

Our June Sale has been like last year..Don't seem busy here..I am not sure what is happening..Sales down overall for year end in Sept. by $20,000. I know Wire in and outs. Only FTD shop in ELliot Lake, 2nd teleflora. I guess I will have to adjust...
