And so the world loses another true gentleman.

wow.

you know your getting older when your favorite movie actors start going.

He was good at his craft and will be missed.

Oh no, that is soooo sad. He was such a great guy, and so handsome. It's a sad day.

An oddity in Hollyweird..he was married to the same woman for over 50 years and remained faithful....said he had steak at home..why would he need hamburger!
And those eyes...what a cool man

Sher, that statement got him into hot water with his wife, Joanne Woodward, who, BTW, graduated from Greenville (SC) High School.

He was certainly one of my favorite actors, and he'll surely be missed.

Yes,
Paul Newman was a wonderful man, a fine gentleman, and a true RACING FANATIC! My husband Tom and I knew from the days of SCCA racing......and I have several autographs from Mr. Newman, when he checked thru my registration table.

Wonderful, wonderful guy!

Drank beer, and ate grilled corn on the cob with all of us every year, at the last races of the season!

He will be truly missed......Let's keep his charitible work going!

I've had a long running and unquenchable crush on Paul Newman starting in my teens. I'm no longer in my teens, and the crush is as strong today as it was then.

He was a hero.

"Newman had a soft spot for underdogs in real life, giving tens of millions to charities through his food company and setting up camps for severely ill children. Passionately opposed to the Vietnam War, and in favour of civil rights, he was so famously liberal that he ended up on president Richard Nixon's "enemies list," one of the actor's proudest achievements, he liked to say.
