My son and his friends have been texting and calling and cheering all evening!

I was at the game the last time WVU played Oklahoma. It was in 1978, in Norman, and the Mountaineers got hammered 52-10. 120 degrees on the field.
Phil & I spent part of our honeymoon watching WVU play for the national championship at the Fiesta Bowl in 1988. (We got hammered by Notre Dame that year.)
My Dad grew up in Smock, just down the road from you, and played football at WVU in the 50's and I'm a Mountaineer by birth.
This game tonight has to rank among the the best wins ever.

My son is a freshman in their engineering program. I am very impressed by the school and their engineering program. I think he's impressed by the whole atmosphere. He said you've seen or heard anything like it, when thousands of fans start singing Take Me Home Country Roads...! Half the stuff under the Christmas tree had a WVU logo on it.
It's been a fun new chapter in life.

On behalf of the residents in WV, THANKS!! It is great to see some positive things said about our state and our team!!
The entire state (even non-football watchers) have been talking about this whole situation for weeks. I am really proud of those guys who went on to be victorious even though their mentor left them for $$$ and prestige.
It sounds as though they are going to have a great replacement! Someone who will be more loyal to their school and to the kids.
