You know, I haven't heard anything about this internally, but I also take Mondays off for school. I'm checking into it and hope to have more info soon (unless someone else from TF answered in the meantime... I haven't read the full thread yet). ;)

***Follow-up:
So I did a little research internally and I can't find facts to support or reject these claims, so that's up to someone from 1800 if they choose to be active in this conversation. As far as anyone at TF is aware, none of our existing agreements have changed.

If it is being used as a tactic to sign florist up, TF should suspend them from using their name as a leveraging, deceptive tactic. I would hope the powers that be would at least warn them.

Unfortunately, that won't happen as the almighty dollar of 1-800 is more important to them then a few thousand lowly brick and mortars.

Reflecting back:

The Resnicks have plenty of money and net worth so they will continue doing whatever it takes through their younger directors, to get the job done, whatever way they can.
800, will sign as many shops as possible to increase the monthlies generated from florist revenue.
800 is way behind TF at last glance with membership, and that is cause for concern, yet certain areas with the 800 magnet are doing well, while others are in the basement.

All, including FTd will rely on cash cows,,,,florists,,,to foot the freight through this tough economy and transitional period, while exploring new ways to capture market share.
Florists will be promised the world,,,, but don't hold your breath,,cause this coming holiday season is gonna be an eye opener for 50 % of the florists on the rolls, and then a good portion of them/us will be gone.

In all due respect to Nicole, my conversations with shops indicate a trend toward getting out, which is justified by allegations that many inproprieties exist with regard to favoritism, diminishing order volumn, no representation & loyalty to the OG's etc......

The same holds true for Ftd and of course 800,who we all know has signed as many shops as possible to offset the losses, without regard for prior agreements with their preferred shops.

At this rate,,, WS as we know it probably has a life expectancy of 3 to 5 years at best, and the OG's, and anyone left standing, will be marketing 14.99 florist designed arrangements as the gimmick, banking on florist dollars to again subsidize the losses, while the next plan of attack is brainstormed.

**funny, we received an 800F order via TF today that was way-way-way-way out. Probably b/c NOT ONE of their prefereds would do it.
Rare we get 800F orders. So they are still sending via TF as of today.
