Hey peeps I have been working with an original Country music band these days, and we wrote and recorded this song last week...

I would like to dedicate the last line of the song ( " ...to believe in this living is just a hard way to go " ) to my dear FC friend Bloomz and all you other hard-working, under-appreciated professional florists out there who are expected to do so much for so little...

Hey Dude......

Love the song!

She's got a nice voice.....

Thanks for the lovely demeaning dedication, Dick.

Oh I guess I must have meant Mark, sorry.....

and you wrote this, huh?

Nice plagiarization of a John Prine song (Angel from Mongomery)

Given your experience in floristry - good luck on succeeding in music.

But since many of us are not having "a hard way to go" succeeding in floristry - I'm glad you're writing about your own experiences - wouldn't have it any other way.

opinions vary

blessings :kuddle:

Mark, this is a very good song! Jeannine's voice reminds me of Jennifer Nettles (Sugarland). Good luck with it. It sounds like a hit to me.

12 bucks you are so funny. You didn't write this song, the song was written by John Prine, for Bonnie Raitt back in 1974. The name of the song is Angel from Montgomery.
You insult people on this board continually.

Being a John Prine fan from way back - that's what I spotted immediately.

12dux is sorta famous for claiming other people's work as his own. Like the all the TELEFLORA arrangements on his site he claims are in house specials.

http://www.usflowerhaus.com/product_info.php/pName/flowerhaus-cheery-n-bright/

just one the whole site are images taken from the web in copyright violation of others images, from Proflowers and Teleflora. (Not a Teleflora member by the way)

and he comes back here just to toss insults at us like his "dedication" to all we hard working florists who make so little for our efforts.

I do think he should change his name to Dick. I already have.

Anyway, Mona - thanks for noticing - I thought I was the only one.

Good John Prine song you wrote, Dick.

Got any new lessons on how to run a floral business today (so we'll know what to avoid)?

Bloomz... Country music?

I think we could change the lyrics here for ya'.

"Make me a rebel, that rides from Corvallis
Make me a florist, on a delivery I roll...":scooter:

Now we just need to get a hold of Bonnie (she is a goddess, BTW).

Bonnie's about as far into country as I venture amigo. Except Willie. I've had acrush on bonnie for years - she reminds me very much of my first hippie girlfriend.

The Eagles is what I would call good country, or maybe the Byrds. The rest of it is a bunch of adenoid yodeling to me.

Gee 12dux has been uncharacteristically silent about this one.

I forgot how much I like Bonnie till I listened to this song .... have to dig out some old CD's today.

And thanks for the new word of the day - I had to look up bloviation.

tracy

I just wrote a new song too, dedicating it to 12bucks! It goes:

Hit me with your red dot
Why don't you hit me with your red dot
Hit me with your red dot
Fire awaaaayyy.

Now some of you might THINK that this song was originally written by Pat Benetar, entitled "hit me with your best shot" - but I wrote the song way before her.

And now, to update my ignore list...

Pwned Again

I found this early link of 12Dux performing this song he wrote back in the 70's when he must have been about maybe 2 years old - bet you didn't know he went by the name John Prine back then? If you don't believe him just ask him.

and a better version of someone else doing it:

and, now that I've spent an hour listening to John Prine again - back to work JB - if you're a John Prine fan search youtube - great stuff on there. Too bad Sam Stone was the only hit he ever had. Great song.

I'm glad Dick made me go there to look.

Only problem is...I'm NOT a John Prine fan. I have also HAD to listen to him for the past flippin' HOUR!!!

And you prove yet again, what an incredibly good sister you are. :)
