To all my DC brethren, 8 to 12 inches of snow by tomorrow night. I extend my sympathy to all mid Atlantic areas.

I have to go down Monday for 2 tastings, I'll bring my new Snow Blower cause I'm itching to use it should anyone need me.

Mark, imagine what your life would be like if it took you 30 minutes to drive 5 miles in your town. That's what it's like in DC on a bright sunshiny day. When we have a rain storm, double that commute time.

I have just heard another prediction on 12 to 24 inches in the DC-NY corridor.

Been there, done that many times, my sister used to live in Frederick MD and I often traveled through DC and points East over the years...

You folks will be shut down for a couple days... wonderful timing... a perfect storm....perhaps a priority shifter ;)

Thom...we now have some forcasters saying up to 16 inches. As you know it will be fun on 95, 495, 295 and 695. It may be good, if shoppers can not get out and finish their shopping, ordering a gift from a florist is an easy thing to do!!
Have great holiday!!

well guess we are lucking out because normally anything that blows thru D.C ends up on us but accue weather up here is showing sunshine for next 5 days but rather cold . But dealing with the cold is of no issue.

Thom, please, please keep the snow as far south as possible so CT misses the bulk of it. I don't want to be cussin' out bad CT drivers right before Santa comes and end up with coal in my stocking!

I'd take the 8-16" instead of -5.......but we motivate in snow here!
Enjoy the crisp white landscapes.

Y'all can keep the white stuff - for now - We are in the middle of a little shower and then we will be cool, windy, but sunny days here in the south.

I'll believe it when I see it. Locally, they are saying 8-10 inches of snow but the national forecast calls for 1-3 inches.

I think it's a conspiracy between the grocery stores, gas stations and local TV!:ghug:

I believe that it's coming now. Why? Because we have an AM funeral (starts at 11) and a car load of deliveries. I think people want to see IF we can get something delivered! LOL:scooter:

Anyone from Florida here? This storm dumped over 7 inches of rain since 1 am in Tampa. It's a wet one.

Mom and Dad are in the Tampa area ( and yes she works at a flower shop in the winter) . So now my Dad will have something to call Michigan and biatch about. Two days ago it was how hot it was. (and it was like 16 here... gees) the man needs a hobby :) :)

Oh and the heading for this thread: every girls dream or would that be every-boys dream. :) :)

Heck YES! The way my Tahoe is set up, anything less than 3 feet is not even a challenge....
