dawned on me night before last, while watching a replay of the 1961 Grey Cup Championship game, after midnight, that in 1961, the Football Classic was already 50 years old,and THIS year marks the 90th time that the BEST TWO football teams in Canada duke it out for Lord Grey's silverware, and because Canadian football, which is by far, the BEST brand, is hardly televised in the States, I wonder how many Americans KNOW that THEIR brand of football is but a baby compared to OURS!
We were playing football before our friends to the south even had electricity.....:D

I hear they still don't in Louisiana.

Only wimps need 4 downs!

And remember the old CFL slogan:
Our Balls Are Bigger!!

Fair catch my @@@

1961 Grey cup

Refresh me , Mike, wasn't 1961 the infamous fog bowl, between Hamilton and Winnipeg that was completed the next day. If memory serves me right didn't they meet 5 times in 6 years 57-58-59-61-62. Great teams in both those cities during those times. And what great players Big Angie Mosca, Bernie Faloney, Don Sutherin , Ed Barrow, Garney Henley. CFL trivia quetion for you, how many Cups did Ronnie Lancaster win as a player?

Ronnie Lancaster won...

2 Grey Cups, one with Ottawa, and One with Regina, as a player.
Mike
