With apologies to Victoria...

I haven't looked at it in some time now, but I have the feeling that you Jason would apply negative labels also to the Florists that go on the Top Members trips for the wire services.
Any operation that got there by deceiving a chunk of consumers as to their location and actual services provided deserves the negative label, IMO. dOg, fOG, flOG, clOG, grOG - call them what ever acronym you like to parse the degrees of deception.

There are a number of florists in the Top 100 that don't, and there are plenty that do.

The question is a false premise, it's not the group, it's the action it took to get flower sellers into it.

In light of recent assertions, asking if the OG Registry is akin to the Fortune 500 is a darn good question, as uncomforable as it may be.

Am I wrong?

Yes,

Correction Maam. Your representation is bassackward.

There are a very few (3-4%) who do and a very large percentage who don't.

opinions vary

3-4?

Are you forgetting about the
f-dOGs (Free Delivery OG's)
dip-dOGs (Doorway page "We're your local family owned florist" OG's)
red-dOGs (Domain hijack/redirect OG's)
fad-dOGs (Fake address OG's)
skim-dOGs (Charging delivery but failing to pass it on, or just plain old sending less than the consumer paid OGs)

I applaud the members of the Top 100 that resist temptation to follow suit despite having to compete with those kind of dOGs. Florists like Keith of Beaverton, Ted of Vissers, The Swenson & Silacci Team, McShan's and others.

Unfortunately, the top cluster of dOGs likely represents about half of the total volume of the entire Top 100. Most of them never have to be bothered with cleaning flowers, tempermental designers, no-show drivers, and all the other joys of a day-to-day flower shop operation. Even if they do, it doesn't excuse misleading, duping or ripping off the public.

I have to agree with this regarding "OG" .....Any progressive florist with a website that does all they should, SEO wise, to be on Google's first page (and better yet, first listings) for a Google search "Your Town Florst" or "Your Town Flowers".....would be clasified as a OG then. I just think SEO is good business by a florist.....and I bet a sucessful florist.

Amen Clay.
