1) It slows the PC down to a crawl when surfing the web.

2) In descriptions, enclosure card messages and basic messages, the text does not wrap to the next line, so you'll be typing along and go no where. You have to remember to hit enter when nearing the end of each line of text. Irritating!

3) It initially only displays the shops in the recipient's zip code unless other florists are paying the $8/mo zip fees.

We were running Dove through Daisy for years, until our monitor died, so I never used the free-standing dial-up version.

In the end, since it doesn't interface with our POS and the aggrivation was bigger than the benefit, we've had it disconnected.

They love it at the shop I'm at since we never had Daisy, we only used the phone, it did save us time since the order printed out instead. One of the gals that regularly sends us orders says it won't let her send it to us for a nearby town but she types our code in, instead of using the zip code search feature I think. Not sure exactly how she makes it work.

We just didn't like the fact that we made very little off the Mom's Day vase, darn TF.

Its a little slow but a nice upgrade over all. push your rep because it will take them forever for them to call you.

got to drop a phone line, havent notice a slow down of the internet, CHR is right on #3

It is much slower than Dove because it has to down load each screen. I thought my 1.5 DSL was causing so I upgraded to 6.0 DSL and that made no difference.

There are some good features, I like the activity history, I like the incoming phone orders reporting and I like the products lookup feature.

Over all it is just Okay...........

Beta Tester Dove Plus

Our shop was a beta tester for the Dove Plus in October and part of November 07. We switched back to the regular Dove prior to Thanksgiving. Just too many problems. The idea of Dove Plus is very good if they can work out the bugs. We found it to be much slower than the regular Dove.

I have found that new technology is not always better. Just look at Windows Vista . . . most IT people advise commercial application to stay with XP. That would also be my advise for Dove Plus, until the programers resolve all of the problems, stick with the regular Dove.

Do not get me started on how much I HATE dove plus...

We also were a beta testing shop. Our POS is visual ticket. we had to enter all of or dove orders since the 2 weren't compatible. It was slow, it didn't show all shops like Cathy said

Everything Cathy said was correct. I hated it. AND sometimes for no dam* reason it would double up on all the text such as
"Debbie Brown Debbie Brown" 123 anywhere st. 123 anywhere st."
"with deepest sympathy with deepest sympathy" OMG!!!!! So irritating..

The worst part was when we called TF, they told us over and over it was us or the visual ticket. Whatever.

We were BETA testing, Testing to tell them the probs. They didn't listen.

The main reason we were so stoked about the idea of Dove Plus is because we have voice over internet phone and web service. Regular Dove isn't compatible with that type of phone service. I told Amy I was going to loose my mind if we didn't get old Dove back. So we just hooked it up to the fax line.

I hate dove plus.

Does the regular Dove still use phone lines???

Is there a way on the Dove Plus to enter and report your phone ins? We're still faxing them.

Some of the pages do load extremely slow, I walk away and come back later it's so bad.

We never entered them through Dove plus, but use the reporting section in www.myteleflora.com.

Do you realize your 'receiving fee' goes up to $1.50 each (from $1.25) when you report the orders by fax?

Again, the regular Dove is very simple to use when reporting manual orders. My clerk had problems reporting on the DovePlus. Another reason we went back to the regular Dove.

Good old fashioned dial up.

Wow - dark ages (sez the guy who just unhooked his modems about 2 months ago)

Hey - I had to get into the 90's before they were over.

They were?

never mind

This is a know issue when using Voice over IP. FAX lines and any dial up modems have problems using VOIP. This problem should be fixed by telling your VOIP company which lines you need to use for FAX or any Dial Up Modem lines. I am not sure what your set up is but in our case we have two lines that are set up differently through the VOIP router then the rest of the phone lines a Fax Line and a second line that is shared with the Credit Card modem and Dove modem. We upgraded to some new US robotics modems and it works much better.

Good grief, does the nickle and diming never end? We will have to change how we report orders for sure. Thanks Cathy.
