Hey, thanks everyone for your support. I'm over it now and agree 100% with all your replies, not that I didn't feel that way already, it's just nice to see it in writing. I must admit I have to think things through & am not good at quick replies to stupidity because I just can't believe that these TF people say such outright stupid things! I swear, they must brainwash their employees. I've been to OK City and they are like robots, always happy, come to think of it, they must get paid really well, or maybe they zap em............
Trust me, I'm no shrinking violet when it comes to sparring with my "Market conselor" He actually holds his hands over his face when he walks in the shop. Again, he is brainwashed good because, of every complaint I give him he says he's never heard it before, especially about the lousey containers they are putting out. Now all he wants to do is sell POS to me. Had the big guy show me in my shop with pictures of it, insisted I go to one of the meetings in town, then gave me $100 to make up samples for the meeting and begged me to attend the meeting, by bribing me with a few containers. Ok I took the money, filled the containers, delivered them 30 miles away in a snowstorm, and sat through the repeat performance of the demo with 3 big guys, sparred with them for 3 hrs, only to be the only one who showed up, had a few stuffed mushrooms and a can of pop. Then the one had the nerve to hand me the contract & a pen to sign my life over to them for only $10,000 + support costs of $250 a month............ I said, can't I even talk to someone in my area who has this, oh, he said I can't remember who has one, I said, all this tech and you can't find out, oh not hooked up for that.. I said I'd at least like to see the actual hardware, WHY? they said, how could that possibly matter? See what I mean total Stupidity. I said would you buy a car & not want to see it before paying? Now I'm the stupid one, lots of laughter from the fools. They are tired so they leave and give all the samples that were promised to me to the cute little hotel clerks... I said what about the prize I was offered for attending( ipod or digital camera) oh yeah, fill out this survey... I did, I should get it because I'm the only one who showed....
Week goes by and I am bombarded by Dove messages to buy POS, postcards, ect, then the salesman comes in to see my shop and starts all over, I said it's just not worth it to me, times are tough & I don't want to go bankrupt ( an exaggeration ) He says, and it floored me...if you go bankrupt, wouldn't you like to go knowing that you tried everything by buying this POS system, than not buying it at all? Luckily the phone rang and he was able to exit without a knife in his eye...
PS I got the ipod 2 weeks later for free!!! or not....
Sorry for the long post, but thanks again for all of your support, and hopefully by the end of the year I can break free of TF, it's not what it used to be, too many hassles, I just want to be a honest florist in this brave new world......
