It's still common to see it here in the landscape, but you can't sell it any more, can't buy it, and can't bring it in from another state. Interestingly, it's in the same plant family as bittersweet, covered here in another thread.
The pink color is unusual. The straight species has a red berry with a gold husk almost identical to bittersweet. We have it growing along the dirveway . Sarah trims and uses it every fall.
