Last year I went nuts and made fudge, fairy food, turtles and a couple different kinds of cookies. Keep in mind I don't usually bake, hardly ever. I just got into Martha mode for some reason. It was kind of stressful and not that fun. I don't know what I was smoking.
This year I made (and am gonna make more) mini pies in 8 oz. canning jars. The link I am posting has a "scratch" pie crust recipe but I just used a box of Krusteaz and peach pie filling; it was super easy and got rave reviews from the fam. You could also make mini pies in muffin tins.

And finally, a cookie tip I got from listening to "The Splendid Table"; Make your dough ahead and let sit in the fridge for 24-36 hours and your cookies will be firmer and brown better.
