Are YOU A Doozie, Too?

When my hubby and I moved back from Ky we lost a whole box of bathroom stuff. EVERYthing: soaps, towels, shower curtain anything you have in the bathroom - Gone. The box never surfaced.

so the joke is when something is missing it took off with the bathroom box.

My biggest gripe is the lost fiscar scissors at $10 a pop. 6 pairs and counting. They have ORANGE handles so you would think.......

Hmmm... we found a few extras....

Got any staplers to trade?

Maybe all the lost items from one shop magically end up at other shops.....

I have 4 staplers that magically appeared however they are not working...

For those of you who lose your scissors, knives, and other tools, I have a great tip that will help you to not only lose less, but will ensure that your tools don't land in another's hands.

Go to the hardware store and buy the multi-colored assortments of cable ties ( sometimes known as Zip-ties ) - Assign each designer, including yourself, a color.....
Attach your color tie to the handles of all your tools, if your knife doesnt have a hole in the handle to attach the tie to, then wrap around the handle.

If your color is blue and another worker's color is yellow....and you see a yellow tagged pair of pliers on your table or laying around, you just ask which person has yellow color and give them back the tool.

This isn't recent but still makes me laugh out loud when I think of it....definately falls within the "doozie" category...

Leather leaf packs were individually sleeved within the waxed box. Designer (FC'er YaYa2005) grabs a bunch, rips off the plastic, taps the stems on the design bench to even them out before the fresh cut, and out pops a baby frog. Of course, it is well preserved but we didn't know that until the screaming and prancing had subsided.

To this day, individual sleeves are opened gingerly.

Don't feel like you are alone in discovering little critters in the leatherleaf boxes. Over the years, several green frogs have been found.....and resurrected after being lifted off the peice of green, placed into a bowl of slightly warm water.....too hot will cause shock......and placed outside after being revived. Also, More than once, a tiny green snake has been found. Again, in stupor after being exposed to the frigid temperatures.....but after being warmed back up gradually, living again and placed outside. Have also found at least one lizard and quite a few little snails over the years.
