This moron was reminded that she "friended" her boss, when she posted a nasty update about him...

Woman 'sacked' on Facebook for complaining about her boss after forgetting she had added him as a friend

By Julie Moult

It's never a good idea to criticise your boss on the internet. But it's certainly not advisable to post an expletive-laden rant that he's able to see.
A young woman paid with her job after seemingly forgetting that she had made online 'friends' with her employer before launching into a tirade.
He could see every posting of hers on social networking website Facebook.

Why you should never add your boss as a friend on Facebook: 'Lindsay' appears to have been sacked in a message from her boss 'Brian'

Letting off some steam last Sunday, the woman, known only as Lindsay, began: 'OMG (oh my God) I HATE MY JOB!!'
She continued: 'My boss is always making me do s*** stuff just to p*** me off!!' She also accused her employer, known as Brian, of being lecherous towards her.
It took only a few hours for her fate to be sealed with an acidic response.
Brian posted: 'Hi Lindsay, I guess you forgot about adding me on here?'
He went on: 'Firstly, don't flatter yourself. Secondly, you've worked here five months and didn't work out that I'm gay?
'I know I don't prance about the office like a queen, but it's not exactly a secret.
'Thirdly, that "s*** stuff " is called your "job", you know, what I pay you to do. And lastly, you also seem to have forgotten that you have two weeks left on your six-month trial period. Don't bother coming in tomorrow.
'I'll pop your P45 in the post and you can come in whenever you like to pick up any stuff you've left here. And yes, I'm serious.'
Digital images of the exchange were emailed rapidly around the world.
They included pictures of the pair but with their surnames blanked out. Lindsay is believed to be British and in her teens or early twenties.
It is far from the first time Facebook users have been in trouble for making derogatory remarks about colleagues or customers.
In January Marks & Spencer staff were caught branding customers 'idiots' and 'cheap little b******,' and last year British Airways staff called passengers 'smelly and annoying.'
This is despite the website warning members to be careful about what they post and who they allow to view their profile.

as I shrug my shoulders, I think to myself.... yep, just about what I would expect from a young one who thinks the world owes her a living not about her working for a living. Sadly, I have seen way too many of these, even in these days of few jobs. "Be glad you have a job" (punk!)

then there's my girl who facebooked "can't wait to get out of work to see you honeybunch" to her boyfriend, also forgetting that he friended me. It showed up in my updates on FB, duh.

Whenever someone applies for a job in my shop, I always perform Google search using his/her name and, more effectively, the email address.

I encourage people to do just that; do Google search for your own email address to see what comes out.

People don't realize that anything they write on the Internet will be archived and their "publications" will be there forever for the world to see.

A private forum (such as Facebook or FC) is relatively secure, but I wouldn't count on it.

dang!! maybe I shouldn't of wrote my last comment on my fb about my bosses/parents!!

Have you done google-searching for your hubby's email address or online alias, to see what he's talking about YOU? :bangles:

See, that's why I never write anything bad about my wife online (not that I have nothing bad to say about her, you know what I mean).

Should you be getting some 'WIFE INSURANCE' Goldie ??

------------------------------------------

Now, as to the posting......that lady was apparently not playing with a full deck.......perhaps a few fries short of a happy meal......or.......her elevator was not going to the top floor.

That was not the wisest thing she could have done........and deserved to be terminated for something like that.

----------------------------------------------------

Take my former employer........While I don't dis-like the gentleman, I'm not his biggest fan either. But you have NEVER seen me write anything negative about him, his business methods, or his shop. The manager and I never saw eye to eye.......She did not make it any secret that I was not her favorite person, but I have never slandered or bad-mouthed her either.

-------------------------------------------------------

I have not forgot the fact that there are real fingers typing on keyboards. Those real fingers are attached to real hands, that are attached to real arms, attached to real bodies, those bodies are hopefully, controlled by sane, functioning, operating brains.

In the case of that young lady........something was not working it seems.

hmm, my husband has a few email addresses (just like I do).... :wide:

yup..and my favorite saying certainly applies here"ya,can't fix stupid":thumbsup

which is THE VERY REASON, why "combining" FB, and TwitHead, is bad for business..one should NEVER "interlace" one with the other!!
There's TOO MUCH "stupid" out there!!

You know, before you said she was British i could just tell.

Silly silly girl... sad thing is she will still think it's someone elses fault!!!

Interesting - And it might surprise you......As with googleing my name which brought 8 results, my e-mail address brought 6 results......interestingly, all concerning my commentary on a newsgroup devoted to the cue sport of billiards. No big secret that I love the sport and consider myself fairly good at it........not professional caliber by any means, but I can hold my own.

So Goldie, How would you respond to that?
