That was great - thanks Rich!

ROTFLMAO! A great (although somewhat scary) way to start the day. :) Thanks Rick.

Awesome!

Did anyone else have the dungaree-patchwork-bell-bottom-pants-and-blazer that my mom MADE me and my sister wear in 1975? Ooh, or Garanimals?

I kinda wish there was a grown up Garanimal line - I have trouble matching sometimes :eek:face

Ahh what goes around comes around! Just wore a blazer jacket last weekend that has been lurking in my closet waiting to come back into style since befoere my oldest was born circa 1983! LOL Got plenty of compilments on my cute jacket too. Guess it was worth moving it from NJ to Fl and 4 house moves after that. All I've got left from the 70's are my hand embroidered bell bottom blue jeans, vintage I think 1972!

I laughed at that until I saw the photo of the kid, and realized that my mom dressed my brother and I in those cool duds.

On the upside, I think we've found the new furniture for our consultation area.

OMG, it really was *that bad*.

The comments on that post as are funny as the post itself. "Afternoon Delight", indeed (has to go down in the record book as one of the worst songs written. Ever.)

Rich, you're far too young to remember much of the 70's. Me, too. *cough**cough*

Except I had the Streisand-esque poodle perm, wore gauchos with boots and owned at least 15 pairs of platform shoes. I can still smell the polyester...........

There was nothing wrong with gauchos with the right pair of boots!!!

Rhonda, you're right. :)

oooh, GAUCHOS! Did yours have a matching vest, with leather ties, and Bo Derek beads dangling from the ends!

What, too much?

It's Sunday morning just past 9am and as I read this thread, Captain and Tennille is playing in the background. My wife is a fan of the era...

Fast forward to Xanadu...

And as we exhale, we slip back to ELO...

Gee, tonight it's my turn with classic country!

Yeah, but I lived in Carpinteria at the time, so we had the 70s big time.

Mrowr! That must have been some hot marching band at WVU!

That is a good visual I may add.....

Yeah & the bigger the flare on the bell-bottoms the better! Hiphuggers too...only we wore body suits so our arse wasn't hanging out. Love those platforms too!

Fun Thread!

I used to wear bell bottoms and my first trip to Europe I spent all the money I had saved on Carnaby Street on clothes. 2yla probably remembers her big bro in the bright red WIDE wale cords ala Brian Jones.

Still got a couple things from back then too

wish they fit
