Naaaah - Those duds were for my paying gigs - piano and vocals in the cocktail lounge at the Hotel Morgan and singer/keboards for a couple club bands.
The marching band attire was strictly tennies and jeans. Our practice field was dubbed the "Mud Bowl" for good reason. :> (FTR, my instrument was tenor sax.)
