Or, nobody could have come in wanting white roses and you could have eaten them with salt and pepper.....

I quit FTD when they started this BS. If the sending "florist" sends an order correctly, paying attention to minimums and del chg, and gives a second choice that is actually possible to fill, correct phone number and address and sent before cut off times , there wouldn't be a problem. Start fining the senders for being stupid, they are usually the OG's But FTD would rather penalize the real florists. The orders I send out never get rejected because if it's questionable I call first.

Perhaps I did not make my point clear. I could have done three things with the 12 white Roses:1. Sold them to a WS order and made very very little if any profit and perhaps even a loss.2. Sold them to the real flesh and blood 100% paying customer.3. Used them in mixed arrangements and still get them sold.Maybe I'm just stupid but I would choose option 2 or 3. I'll let the WS shops give thier flowers away, I quit doing that a few years ago.

but this assumes you have a local order.

and if you are just putting them into an arrangement to use them up, then what's better? selling one arrangement or selling two, with the second one being a WS.

Additional Revenue and Variable costs are the important words we all need to focus on when discussing WS sales.
