Reality TV

I still think we need a chef ramsey for the floral industry to go into struggling shops and whip them into shape!!! Cmon J Schwenke, you are just the guy to do it!! Time for a new show!!:yourock:

Ya know, not for nothing, a Reality Show, before anyone else does it, is an interesting possibility.
What a way to tastefully and constructively get the word out to the masses.
Would take some doing, but, I'm betting it could happen.
We did a gig for Stick Figure Productions a while back and they were always looking for something new and interesting.
We've already got Real World, why not Real Florists ?:scooter:

Back in my old life ( The Office Products Industry) Tehre were two companies that did complete remodleings for you. They would come in draw up your store and make recommendations as to layout and counter display lighting etc. If you chose them to do the work they ordered all the various displays you so that they arrived a few days before they did and they would completely remodel a store in one weeks time. Something of this nature is truly needed in this industry.

I'm kind of doing something similar at my new job. The owners aren't trained and their previous designer was a lazy slug... *sigh*. The place is a mess. When I asked the owner if I could do certain things, he said.." Marie, think of it like this...you've just been elected president, make all the changes you want!" :) And I know this is within reason.. :) But cleaning is #1 priority for me, then comes organizing, so I have a job ahead of me.
I would love to get ideas from another set of eyes... Sign me up for the program!! ;)

I pretty much revamp my store every 3-4 months. It gets a good cleaning, touch up on paint(if needed), windows washed inside and out, displays changed, coolers cleaned, etc etc. I usually know its time when I walk in and say, "Yuck, I hate this place!" because I am sick of seeing evrything in the same place.....If I feel that way, what about my customers...

And eventhough I do this every 3 months, Chef Ramsey would still come in here and pick it apart and say it was a sty.....It is cleaner than most shops I have worked in but still not pristinely clean as I would like it to be, but I only have 2 hands and I have posting to do on Flower chat..
