Received a order from Loblaws via the merc , tried to forward back to them , not allowed , sent ask message for them to cancel , got call , got into heated conversation with this twit , he identified himself with the order not domestic retrans , anyways , he says if it comes from retrans I have no choice but to fill , I said go ahead send it , it will only be forwarded back , not filling anything for retrans either , I asked him why don't you use your own shop , up the street his answer " they're not qualified to to any orders for them" , But they are acceptable to send , he has refused to can it , but I can reject , not paying reject for your stuff , but seeing I can't forward it , your problem , not mine , not doing anything else with it. Be aware boys and girls , seems all the OG are trying to send everything via domestic retrans , not even stomach enough to send themselves , from here on in all Retrans orders into us get forwarded back .
 
I suspect

that we'll see alot more of this before they get a clue...

And I also expect the volume to increase dramatically for Valentines...

Funny that they won;t let their own shops fill their orders...well I gues not really...like I said before...

I have no problem with what the competition sells their stuff for, for they know best what it is worth...and in this case, it would seem it's... PRICELESS :)

The site is made by FTD...................think we should all ask FTD to build us a site and offer flowers at 50% below FTD prices. There's still enough "florist's without a clue" that will gladly fill the orders for us!

Sad but true. But I feel the change moving thru the industry...yes it is slow, but it is growing...lately FC has been gaining 1-3 members a day...thats a good sign.

I also think we'll see a faster pace after the holidays when florists have time to goof off and surf the web. You may have noticed the www.flowerchat.com/realflorists/ Real Florist Blog which will go out and ping servers everytime there is a new comment added unlike a web site that waits for the spiders to find it. We have seen rather good results in only the first week, ranking 52 on Google. Now we need to diversify the content, to rank in various catagories. And I see too we were found by Google.ca today.

We're trying to round them up :)

I had an order from them last week; I called FTD member sevices for a phone number for the Loblaw's it came from and called that store. The lady in the floral dept said that they FAX their orders to FTD and that they decide where they go. She gave me the fax number so I faxed them and told them NOT to send to us. Got a call, supposedly from Loblaw's, asking me did I want more money or what. He said he received the fax I sent (to the FTD number that Loblaw's uses) and he admitted was calling from FTD FAH, not Loblaw's. Anyway he wanted to know what they had to do to get us to fill their orders since we're the only FTD member for miles (aw gee) and I told him; just give up advertising that you're 25% cheaper than the florists who you expect to fill the order (of course I didn't tell him I still wouldn't fill an SFO order)! SO, I guess sometime this weekend, when Loblaw's stops this scummy practice, I can take credit for getting rid of Loblaw's... lol

You boys keep up the good work, I'm proud of you. We haven't had the retrans trick yet - with us, our plague has been 1-800 which I've been cheerfully tossing back to them.

No Rock , they're like a willnot ( little bits of crap that stick to your as s and will not come off) , three times to day I've had to deal with the same order and DR , after last act I called Frank Stornelli to get involved and call the maggots off , next call from Hq will be met with the same response I got from them slammed phone in my face when I asked for the particulars of this order . if they don't shag off I'm disconnecting the merc .

I knew there was something wrong when the Blueberry wine didn't show up! :>
This afternoon an order came in from LoBLOW's ! Wayyyyyy under valued (just imagine that); FOR it to Domestic Retrans and someone (who apparently wasn't there since there was no one working in that dept Sunday) re-sent it; FOR back; resent AGAIN; FOR back for third time and SUS my merc. Since RES merc so to receive ANS from a BC florist and just checked online (from home) and they haven't sent it back yet, so I guess we'll see what Monday brings. I spoke to someone in Merc dir dept and she told me that she set our number to be on the "not preferred florist" list BUT that is a smoke screen since that was before they re-sent it the third time; asked her if there is an "Absolutely refuse to fill" list but she said no. Looks like to NOT receive these orders from LOBLOW's (really FTD is the sender) I will have to SUS my Merc til Jan and any legitimate orders will have to be phoned to us by Domestic Retrans; would have thought they'd be busy enough.

The BS continues.....
Got an order from the low blows on Sunday which I rejected with a note that I did not fill their orders.
Today the same order came back via domestic retrans....but get this, it was for 6.68 less than the original order.
So now my question is does DR take a commission for relaying orders???

Will find out after Christmas, when I have a few minutes.

BTW the original order was for 45.00 and only underpriced by 34.25
 
I got another from them yesterday , with an e-mail address on the bottom so I mailed it stating that didn't want their scummy orders , and carbon copied it to Frank Stornelli , who thought my language was not nice , no foul words in it at all , just scummy order gathering parasite. Could have used every 4 letter word in the book and several not in it but seeing its Christmas , thought I'd tone it down. Oh well !!
 
GOt also got a call from DOmestic Retrans

Lady was nice and she said she had 3 orders for me. I said to her before we starrt, you need to tell me where all theree are coming from.
I am sorry I don't have that information.
I am sorry until I get that information I won't accept the order.
She then asked if I did gourmet basket. I said sure.
SO she says, I guess you also don't fill order for Loblaws?
I said you got that right.
She said she would get the informatinon and call me back.
She never did....
Another one is Flowers your way from Edmonton. Think they are a wire service and wanted a discount. Actuallly telling us how much we should charge for the order on their credit card.

3 separate calls from 800 yesterday almost begging us to fill a order for them ,not even if McCann came down personally to kiss my butt, felt great , last one "this is ??? regional sales rep with 1-800 flowers " "And" " is there any chance at all that you will fill an order for us " "no" " please" "ha,ha,ha!!! click. Best conversation I've had all week.
