Emergency replacement for corsage glue?

I think the cold Oasis glue is the best possible glue for corsages, but, I have been gluing corsages for many, many years and never had a problem with the Oasis pan glue. And, I am an AIFD designer who has presented my share of shows demonstrating both techniques.

There are many ways to "skin a cat" and these are just two of the ways to make a corsage.

ok shoot me now lol

I use glue gun ALL the time and have had corsages sitting there for days that never bruise and never fall apart... I swear by it. I am not aifd and whilst i appreciate people who are i dont think they necessarily know best all the time. They have just taken more quals than others... Harsh reality is.... if it works it works!!!

For those who haven't, just try it... it does not harm the flowers.. i promise!

I have recently bought the Oasis glue, but only used it maybe half a dozen times for adding such as gyp or alstro heads into a wired corsage. Not used a glue gun for fresh, can you use this for the whole corsage, roses, thistles etc without wiring??

Nevertheless...........Whether you choose to use cold glue, pan glue, hot glue, crazy glue, or something else.......You should STILL be proficient with the techniques of wiring and taping. There are styles of corsages and accents that cannot be done correctly using glues....For a great example of how to creatively use wire and tape........Get a copy of Deborah De La Flor's book and video/dvd - FLORSAGES.

Wire and tape is STILL a viable, useful, and important technique in our repetoire as designers and we should be ready to use it should the design call for it.

Floral Pride, I still wire and tape for normal lapel corsages. Would not even know the technique of using glue in this instance. other than those plastic things with a pin on the back. I might try one of those actually??

I use the glue for wrist corsages.

Good point though, what type of corsages does everyone else mean.

Btw, someone gave me a green dot for my previous post and did not sign..... Please reveal yourself amigo so i can say fanks :)
