Not sure if this is going to work. If you do not see an image of our Scion signage, then it did not work.

This vehicle has been a great advertising billboard for us. I specifically wanted our name as large as possible and not lots of frills that might have made it more "flowery". Everyone remarks about seeing our delivery vehicle.

Just last month, I added the hub caps.

Now people are asking, "How many of those vans do you have? I see them all over town."

Love it.

Love the hub caps Tom...

hub caps

love those hub caps!

They would make a great insurance policy for me....I don't think my teen sons would ask to borrow the car.

Love the van, especially the hubcaps. That'll get folks talking!

I hate to ask, but has anyone with a Scion had an accident yet?

Just wondering cuz it, along with some of the other "mini's" failed the crash tests that were just announced today.

I was wondering the same thing! We do not have one delivery vehicle that has not been involved in some kind of accident.

Looks good Tom! Can you share the internet source for the hubcaps?

Whose crash test? Haven't heard about it, yet.

We have one ... knock wood, no accidents or scrapes yet. I'm interested in the crash test stuff if you can post a link, or tell us where to find it.
thanks,

edit - nevermind, found it http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/16273695/?GT1=8816

Fun! They have a Scion chat room on there somewhere in cyberspace - could be fun to post pics there of all your tricked out wheels.

I think it's funny that they refer to the Scion as being the "youth targeted" car for Toyota - in our area, it's a soccer mom and retirement age car. And a couple of florists have them. I have yet to see anyone under 35 driving one (but lately I don't get out much.:hammer: ).

Tom - I love the hubcaps. We were trying to figure out if our standard caps could be done up like that, but I like the solid surface better.

I'd love to see a florist rally of Elements vs Scions.
Honda vs Toyota
Innovator vs Duplicator

Instead of the same old design competitions, let's get our delivery guys into the mix and have a floral delivery obstacle course complete with dogs, deaf recipients and bad addresses!

Good idea...can I bring my 85 Chevy 4X4 with 37" Monster Mudders... hell I'll even paint the stores name on it ;)

anything you want to know about them - I found how to do my cruise control there and remove the dash for some other stuff, reset the change oil indicator and more

You asked what my Scion inside looks like?

Kind of messy right now. It has been working hard this month. Bought it in July 2005 and have 30,000 miles on it. No complaints. Last summer I took it to where my son lives and brought back 350 pounds of blueberries. Purred like a kitten and rode nice.

Seriously, I would think that an inside shot woulld be available on the Internet.

But here is what I do on the inside
Unlatch the back seat and put it forward. We put a narrow cut flower box between the back seats and the seat cushion that is unlatched from its anchor.

The back floor when opened is not perfectly level so a rigid piece of plywood takes care of that but needs some covering so objects do not slide easily.
We seldom use our cargo van anymore.

Thanks Tom:

You answered my question.

I was wondering if it was a flat floor, and how well it performed general deliveries.

If I may, how many arrangements can you get in that thing at one time?

I used to own a Saab 900 which was almost the perfect delivery/multi purpose vehicle.

wish I had that thing back

Joe,
Yesterday our driver's first run had 15 deliveries in our little box, and had room on the front seat if more were done at the time she left. The interior is quite roomy, with a LOT of head room - by brother is 6'2" and there's about 6" or more above his head when he gets in. We do deliver funeral pieces in this - can fit a couple of floor containers + one spray, so we still use our full size truck for larger events, and for this weekend I'm sure.

We picked up dish gardens from a supplier, and without the boxes, we were able to fit about 30 inside, packing them tightly. ( we also use the rear floor for small packages & short plants - squeakes in another 2-4 pieces). Obviously flowers need a little more room between the packages, so we fit much less.

There are interior shots HERE. When you fold the back seats down, there is a slight incline, but our contraption that my husband built is heavy enough to minimize that. I have read of some pepole who remove the back seats and make different platforms, but we use it for passengers on occasion, so we need the seats.

ps - we had a SAAB 900 & 9000 at one time - they were great, just always needed some kind of electrical work. It would be similar to the Scion, but I don't think you'd fit near as much stuff in it, and much less head room.
