Carol, Im really really sorry to miss seeing you. Any chance you are going to Southern Retail in Charlotte NC in Aug. I'll be in attendance. Hey maybe we could do FC dinner there with anyone going?!?! What say you all?

Somehow I missed this thread before! I will be attending the symposium along with another designer from our shop, Tana Dawson. (Tana actually won one of the foundation's scholarships!)

We would both LOVE to come along. It would be wonderful to put faces to all the personalities I've come to rely on!

We won't have a car, but we can arrange for a taxi if needed.

Hope it isn't too late. Sorry if I put you in a bind! If it is too late, that's ok too -- we'll still meet at some point I'm sure.

Good time had by all last night! We ended up with a group of more than 20 and had to be split into a few tables.

Some Non-FCer's (but I hope soon-to-be) joined us including Bobby Ecker and Alice Waterous.

I took photos but am not sure I can upload them to my laptop. I'll try to fish around for the cord later.

Gossip: One of our FCer's got asked to provide the musical entertainment for Preston Bailey's private reception Tuesday night. I won't say any more but hope he/she puts a tip jar on the piano.

Symposium started off with a bang yesterday with a terrific new products program and exhibition. Today is jam packed with presentations - the first up being Keith White, Charlie Gropetti & Kim Morrel showing California flowers. The guys told me there are a whole new series of designs available on CD.

I concurr. . . .

We did have fun. No one got totally out of control. Cathy's Rosie is a fun young lady. Had some great food, got to meet some neat people in all areas of the floral industry. My group was in awe of El Paseo Drive, (where Tommy Bahama's was) it's a good thing it's not within walking distance (every kind of shopping imaginable on one street).

This is a working vacation for me so I had better get back to it.

Did the California flower guys say how a person would be able to buy the CD, or is it already available?

Sounds like the symposium is awesome, would have loved to have gone.
