Well...I have one particular story - that I swear......I have YET to hear a customer say anything that tops this.
This is many years ago in Charleston, SC. The name of the shop I am at is Flowers By Kim.
This customer calls - I answer the phone.....Thanks for for calling Flowers By Kim, I am Ricky, How can I help you?
I kid you not, She responds - Is this a flower shop.....I told her yes......She says a flowershop that sells flowers.....I said yes again......She then asks.....this is the clincher " You sure this is a flowershop that has the real flowers that look fake "
At that point - I said - excuse me a moment - You need to speak with the manager.....and As soon as I got of of earshot - I cracked up.....BIG TIME !!!!!
btw - I should add.....this is way back in the late eighties.....before the advent of the dOG's - This just about predates Meola's shenanigans.

The only other one that comes close is the 800flower birthday cake and an old lady.
We had an order for one of those and delivered it....later on I intercept a phone call....It is about the cake.....She says that she is mad....I ask her why - She says....I got the pretty cake for my birthday and when I cut me a slice, I find out is is real flowers and there is no cake.
I am trying not to lose it as I explain that this is a flower arrangement made to resemble a cake.....Would she like me to send something else....She say no....She works with flowers and can peice it back together.
Well, on the inside lid of each cake delivery box from then on.......I write in black marker " This is NOT a real cake. It is a flower arrangement that looks like a cake. Do not try to eat. It is not a real cake. "
