They look like this. It's not the same as the polymere, and doesn't interfere with the flower's water intake. They come in fabulous colors, and looks great when you fill a glass container with water, add the acrylic rocks, a floralyte and flowers.

Do you have a good source for the acrylic rocks?? Accent decor has them but want an arm and a leg.

I use jamali garden - www.jamaligarden.com . They have 32 oz (2 lbs) for $10; a case of 6 for $48.

or

G&G distributorship - www.gandgweb.com. They have 16 oz for $4.25. They're located in New Jersey. I'm just across the george washington bridge, and on a good day, takes me about 20 mins to get there. Pretty huge store- a virtual candy store for anyone creative. The site doesn't show everything that the store has.

Had to make one yesterday and thought I would do a step by step picture thingy. I used real snow and red food color for the strawberry margarita drink part.

Lori, that is fabulous! When you say "real snow" are you just using one of those ice shaver things? Very cool.

No, real snow is a jar of tiny gel crystals. You put them in water and they are hydrated in a few minutes instead of 24 hours with the big gel crystals. They really do look like snow... www.soilmoist.com click on link and look in holiday novelty- they have alot of floral stuff

Ohhhh, that makes more sense! I was thinking, hmmm...wonder what happens when it melts! Thanks for the clarification Lori!
