HA! knew it!!!!

:)

Hope you win! Just don't make us bow down if you do...:grovel:

good luck shannon, most of us were right then, how weird how you can guess someones style without knowing them that well.

When do you find out??

If I'm one of the top 3 I will get a call sometime in september.

It's gonna be a long september..

Ok, Since it has been announced - Shannon's is Number 7. I knew which one it was because she had asked me to evaluate her bouquet as though it were submitted for AIFD AES evaluation.

I critiqued her bouquet and told her that I though this was a passing bouquet. The only 'problem' i noted was in essence due to the photograph. In the photograph, it appeared that a second orchid was needed in the focal area to add focal emphasis.

Shannon assured me that it was indeed there, just not really visible in the photograph.

This brings up a reminder that I have posted in several threads. When photographing your work.....Remember the camera sees things in two dimension....It sees height, width, but not depth. The human eye sees things in three dimension.....It sees height, width, and depth.

One of the most useful tools you have, besides your knife and calculator, is a good digital camera and printer or a polaroid camera. Anytime, You are concerned about a design or important project or just for everyday work......photograph your work and look at the pictures. You will be surprised at what becomes visible.
The camera sees things the human eye overlooks. Mistakes or problems in a design become readily apparent in a flat photo where they may be not so visible in three dimension.

Any other AIFD members on Flowerchat are welcome to view and critigue the bouquet for Shannon. I sincerely think that Going by what I have seen posted by Shannon, In this thread, the AIFD thread, and in her gallery......we will be seeing a new AIFD member soon.

My first guess was Number 7 because it had Shannon's signature style. She confirmed that to me. I absolutely loved that design.

This gets me back to a premise that I have made for years. You can always tell designers work by their personal signature style. This also applies to hiring designers.....you can tell so much about their signature style by assesing their characterists. Their work usually reflects them.

Ditto. :)

Carol, you are one wise woman. :)

Beautiful work, Shannon!

(FYI, Nid's from our shop was entry 1).

I thought that one was yours too, Shannon!! Good luck!!

Cathy, I had picked # 1 as your employee because it reflected so much of the Rulloda details and style. It is very beautiful. You can be proud of NID

Again, it goes back to personal characteristics and personal signature.
