there's definitely coverage issues with FTD at this time, I'm NOT sure it's "repairable", however, THAT'S NOT the only problem.....seems that certain segments of FTD just DON'T give a hoot anymore.
Even Domestic Retrans, the "saviour" of non coverage, is failing at a growing proportion in getting orders out.....wind up having to do them myself!!
The other "surprising" thing, is that in the last little while, calling shops directly, has GREATLY IMPROVED the customer satisfaction, from OUR end, when there was some question, as to whether the order COULD EVEN be filled.
FTD has gone through TOO MANY ownership changes, for them to even remotely consider themselves as world class contenders, BUT, I GOTTA TELL YOU, the REMAINING SHOPS that are STILL members, are probably the ones we started OUT with, and we're NOT getting the "riff-raff" complaints from senders that we USED to get about lousy service and quality at the OTHER END.
I really can't blame the wire services for NOT giving a shyte about florists....florists are largely to blame, for the position that we are in right now, and EVERY SINGLE wire service "warned" REAL FLORISTS that changes were imminent, and the rest is history.
Do we need a wire service....I DO!!...do I HAFTA have 'em...sadly NO...it's a piss poor way of making any money, and frankly, I just DON'T trust them anymore...ANY OF THEM!!
