FTD FLORISTS ONLINE URL CHANGES
NEW DEADLINE! DECEMBER 31st 2007
Many members have requested more time to make changes to their URLs.
In response, FTD has extended the deadline to DECEMBER 31st 2007
What is changing?
In order to better optimize our web sites, the FTD Florist Online team is streamlining our domain and URL logic. In carrying out this process, it is necessary for us to eliminate the following URL strings:
www.ftd.com/[your shop name]
www.florist.ftd.com/[your shop name]
On December 31, 2007 these strings will be eliminated and replaced with:
www.ftdfloristsonline.com/[your shop name]
Our records indicate that one or both of the above-listed URL strings to be disabled may be generating traffic to your site.
After December 31, any links or scripting you have in place that are currently operating with these URL strings will no longer be valid.
What do you need to do?
Standard links and URLs within the following programs: FTD FOL, FTD Local Search, and FTD Online Yellow Pages will be automatically changed for you. If you have no other campaigns or links operating, no action on your part is necessary.
If you are running any other marketing campaigns or have other links with these URL strings, it is important that you take the following action prior to December 31, 2007 to ensure your traffic successfully connects with your site after the above mentioned URL strings are invalidated.
Please check your advertising campaigns and links and replace the disabled URL structure listed above, namely,
WWW.FTD.COM/[YOURSHOPNAME] OR
WWW.FLORIST.FTD.COM/[YOURSHOPNAME] with the following:
www.ftdfloristsonline.com/[your shop name]
