my mum got some,

They did this (and i think still do this) uk side,i have photos of a postman delivering to my mum, around a recent mothers day(not her real present),they were centrally fulfilled and they were dead "no joke",they came in a box that you could get a snooker cue in ,they certainly had'nt received any conditioning, they were as you would see them at wholesalers (still tightly wrapped around the heads with corrugated cardboard)when i say, how you would see the at wholesalers, i do them an injustice they would have binned them!!!
Needless to say a complaint was registered, and rightly so,and these sad offerings were duly replaced by a florist supplied bouquet courteousy of ftd pocket(me thinks that would really be my pocket in the long run)

.....they came in a box that you could get a snooker cue in......

Off Topic I know - but with my love of the billiard sports - I would love a real snooker cue

This is my spin on this arr.
Looks like they had a whole bunch ready to go for thanskgiving.
People was not buying it at all.
SO they put a sale on to get rid of them before tues, because they know they could have not have them delivered in time by thursday of this week which is thanksgiving in the USA.
I guess to have a little bit of money than nothing, was better for them.
And we all know that those beautiful lilies won't come that way and probably will be damaged by the time the arr gets to the consumer.
So FTD is putting another nail into their coffin and yours as a FTD Florist.
I am glad I am not FTD....
Also I am not saying TF is better neither....

Okay, got home from work, no package. Checked three times. Checked up hill neighbor's porch and down hill neighbor's porch. Tracked the package, states "left on porch". I don't have a porch!
Called FedEx 800 number....operator states driver left it at 17 (my number is 14) and that was what the delivery address stated. Wrong, got the package from my cross the street neighbor...address plainly states 14. :wallhead:
Open package, oh my......... smushed lilies, minis, and poms. Some look frozen, many broken, heads of flowers laying in the bottom of the box.
and the worst!! (I'm a mechanics nut).....The LINER shows clearly around the bottom (hate that, don't allow it in my shop).
Yes, I do have pictures will try to attach them later.

Okay, still haven't been able to post the pictures here (they're too big, need one of those free sizer programs I guess) but in the meantime, I did email customer service and place a complaint on the broken heads, bent lily stems, and the leaving of it on a porch two houses down when the mailing label clearly gave my address correctly. I received an email stating they would contact me within 24 hours. No one called but received an email today stating the order was cancelled and credit would be applied to my credit card. This should be interesting.
I may try to upload to the photo gallery as that will automatically size the picture I believe.

>>>>Not being 100 percent sure what image format your camera uses.....So....I am going to give some suggestions that might work to reduce your image size to make it postable.

After you have downloaded the image to your pc.....find the image and see how it was saved to your system. if it was saved as a bitmap or .bmp file....( example of a .bmp filename - image01.bmp )....then you can right click on that image and edit in paint.

After you have the image up in paint.....then you can reduce the file size by adjusting the edges to get rid of all the clutter ( there is a tiny dot at the lower left hand corner of the image that you can move to adust ) ....... then after you have the image pared down to where the important things are showing.....click on file.....select "save as" then save as a .jpeg or .jpg file. That reduces the size of the image by about 2/3rd usually.

Try that and see what happens.

Finally, (thanks to BBJ) I can load these pictures.

yes my mom received hers last wed. before t-day, and was so shocked about the broken stems she immediately called FTD to complain and was told by customer service that they had "many many complaints" about the condition of the that centerpiece. she was told to have me, the sender, call so they can refund my money back.

this all happened without her having *any* clue that i was sending this to her as a "test" order.

unfortunately, she "fixed" the arrangement before i had a chance to photo it! when i told her that i purposely wanted to photo the whole broken mess she laughed and was sorry she touched it...its pretty hard to be mad at mom during thanksgiving about a stupid drop-ship floral item.

oh well...

Funny thing... to me anyway...

I'm pretty sure someone at FTD has read this thread...

So SAD...but SO funny....to me anyway...

Give new meaning to "Buyer Beware" :poke:

Yes, it's bad, but I've seen worse .... on florist websites, and in person.

Maybe we should start a Bad Photo thread, for these horrible examples of floristry.

tracy

I have seen better arrangements at the supermarket. I don't even think that one looked good before it got bounced across the US....
