A couple FC members have asked how to get their Google LBCs to show their listings as 100% completed. Ours shows at 100% but until today, I wasn't sure why.

Mike Blumenthal blogged about the elements of a listing and shows the weighting of each .

The article contains this handy chart:

PercentLBC.jpg

So log into you LBC and add what's missing to pull it up to 100%. :)

Inside the LBC, there's a little bar graph on the right side near the top under "Your Business Info" that indicates percent completed.

Mike's pie chart is to illustrate the elements in the LBC and the percentages assigned to each. Until today, no one has published all the elements and their weightings. If your LBC shows less than 100%, look at the chart to see what info has yet to be added.

Example: If you don't have a video link but have all the other categories, your completion rate would be 96% since a video is 'worth' 4%.

Not sure why Bing isn't allowing you to add your company. We claimed our listing last year and the process included being sent a letter via snail mail with a code to enter to finish the claim.

Are other Canadian companies complaining about being unable to claim their listings?

This is all I get? Am I missing something? I haven't heard about other companies having difficulty in Bing. I'll have to research it a bit.

I was asking - thank you!

It's the photos and video that I am missing, but apparently it isn't bothering them, just me.

thanks again

You can upload photos of your shop, vans and designers in action if you don't want to use arrangement pictures.

And for a small fee, Eric, Darrell or Adam can hook you up with a video. ;)

You are right though (per Mike's article) including the items does not seem to help with Maps positioning.

Hmmmm. You're not getting the new LBC dashboard (which shows display & visitor stats.) Hate to say this, but is it a Canada thing? Are other Canadian florists not seeing the new dashboard? (It came out a few months ago here in the US.)

Gia, anyone else seeing this? Canadians!?

Steve -

The pie chart is from Blumenthal's blog. It illustrates the various components that go into achieving 100% 'completed' in the LBC,

You LBC will display graphs of impressions and visitors for the previous 30 days. You should also be seeing the keywords where your listing is displayed, plus a list of zip codes where consumers searched for driving directions to your store.

I haven't been upgraded to the dashboard either, even though we have US & Canadian clients. It's more Google discrimination against Canadians ;)

Jerks...
Oh well. There may be something coming? We have actually lost our small metrics on the front page too. Often when Google changes something, things go funny for a bit...

Dang... a LOT of people search for "birth month flower" "flower of the month' "july birth flower" "xxmonth birth flower".... I had over 100 results for these in July...

Ya'll should add a page for "Birth Month Flowers"... ;)
