Gourmet baskets

Although it's not a huge part of our orders, I do find that the CONTAINER makes all the difference !
If we can offer a really "unique" or keepsake container of some sort ..then add some goodies (or for sure,,,nibbles!) they do seem to sell.
Try to keep a minimum of gourmet on hand and are lucky to have a few good fruit stores near enough to romp out to as the need arises.
It can break the bank to carry so much perishable stock!
They used to be such a mainstay of corporate clients...now, it seems like just more at xmas and such.
The times they are a constantly changin' !

You need to check out the online basket suppliers. Order an equivilent in price from them and see what you get. If you're like us, you'll be shocked.

I ordered a basket from a company in Vancouver for 60.00. In the picture it looked a good size. Imagine my shock when it arrived, only to discover the size was the same as our 40.00 basket.

That was a reality check for us.

I've never had an issue with "that's not large enough" here... but hey there's always a first time. And the container is important. People seem to really like the unique things I use.
