Ode to IvyGreen's 40th
There once was a florist from Washington,
Whose work ethic was very uncommon.
Her store motto was true and never once withered:
One fine August day she turned forty,
Threw her hands in the air Oh Lordy!
What shall she do,
Her 30’s are all through!
Fine lines ‘round the eyes,
New jiggles in her thighs,
Streaks of grey in her hair,
Her feet, so tired, she needs a new pair!
Passing by the mirror in a rush,
Caught a glimpse of her face’s panicked flush.
Hmmm, red cheeks, they look quite pretty,
and those lines - just reminders of laughing herself silly!
Grey streaks can easily be covered…
As for her thighs, I know what I would advise -
Cake that is generously chocolate smothered!
So she decided put on her tiara,
and said tonight she will learn how to cha-cha!
As her fab 40’s make their debut,
Be glad this silly limerick is for her and not you!

Yes we can, yes we will,
And when would you like that delivered?
