the manger at Home Hardware in Conception Bay was featured in our local Home Hardware advertising here......
Also Victoria....in another career, I used to WORK in people's attics in that oppresive heat..they'd wait until they could no longer stand the heat, buy central air from one of our local installers, and expect it to be up and running with the flick of a finger.
The hottest we recorded in one lady's attic was 161 degrees, and SHE screamed the loudest.....I for one like the heat, I hate stupid people

I like the heat too... and stupid people make life interesting. However, I'm not a fun of humidity. And this past week was just plain gross!

I must say, being a 40 year Florida native I am really getting a kick about hearing all you "yankees" moan about heat, humidity, and huge lighting storms. Welcome to our world!

Funny thing this year our summer has been mild and pretty dry.

where are you when we are in the middle of a real Nor'easter??? with snow blowing so you can't see 1 foot in front of you and you need to dig out a window so you can dig out a path to the door???

Actually Mark, London and area are known for having the most thunderstorms on N/A... I love them personally.

As for the humidity... I don't love it and that's why I don't live in your end of the world.

We all have our crosses to bear I guess, but I must admit to being more happy than unhappy to be living here, where the extremes are fairly minimal.

Hey, go easy on them...they are the ones down here spending their green when the weather up there gets shabby! lol

As far as dry...we have been rained on a lot and yesterday was a doozie but today is absolutely quinessential south fla...hotter than all get out, dry, limited humidity and glorius beach weather for those yanks!

Which is why I don't move to Florida! I can put up with about 3 weeks of this, complaining all the way, cause I know it will not last for months. And also knowing I don't have to worry "yet" about hurricanes, tornados, and gators!

Awww, hurricanes schmericanes...just a couple of windy days with rain that blows sideways. I personally love walking out in the middle of them and feeling that raw power of nature, and when the eye-wall passes, it it perhaps the most eerie, spiritual of things to stand in the center of one for those few minutes.

Gators?? Taste great with some hot sauce, but they can be a little chewy...
