We also decorate several Catholic and Episcopal churches. Since the 24th is the last Sunday of Advent, the Christmas flowers, garlands, etc. can't be delivered until after the last morning Mass/service (ending at around 1 pm) and everything will need to be in place by 4 pm.

OH DARN! I forgot about that! Guess I will be making some deliveries Christmas Eve Day.

FWIW: We really push hard to get all deliveries made by the 23rd. Christmas Eve Day then just becomes an easy slow paced day. When that isn't possible we try to get out of here by 3:00 pm

Open Sunday as long as it takes- probably 3 or 4- ya just gotta love those last miniute shoppers! Closed Christmas day, reopen the 26th. We always do very very well the day after with folks visiting.

we'll be open.....

on the 24th, just long enough to get the last minute, and nohomes delivered, and then we are likely off to Pompano

Wow

We will be open the 26th, mostly for clean-up and wedding appointments.

Wedding appointments! Who is thinking "wedding" the day after Christmas unless you're of Jewish faith?
Now there's a reason I would definetly not come in for. There's plenty of time for weddings and my head would just not be in that place.

Brides who live out of town, but come home for the holidays, want to do their spring or summer wedding planning. They're usually irritated we won't schedule appointments the 22nd, 23rd or 24th.

We will be open on Christmas eve from 9 am to 4:00 p.m.
Always a bunch of last minutes shoppers...lots are for roses.
We will be only 3 staff member and I am not schedualing one new staff so she could be with family out of town. The rest have in town families to go to.
As for the 26th, here in Elliot Lake NO STORES ARE OPEN. (Town Bylaw).
However I have been called in by our local funeral director if she need my services. One the 27th I will be coming in with one other staff member. Our out of town designers gets to travel back that day, THe one working with me will have New Years Eve off and the other designer will also have it off to give her a three day off.
If store hours are posted now on your doors and you wish to be open or closed that is fine. We all have different reasons to do it.
I am also giving Christmas diner at my place this year, as my mom is still not well to do it and we have the room.
Now if I dont have to be anywhere on the 26th, I stay in my underwear all day!!!!!!

We will be open 9:00 -4:00 Christmas eve and back open for a full day the 26th. No doubt we will also have the brides wanting the appointments, the after holiday shoppers looking for bargains, and the funeral work will pile up. We will spend Christmas eve with my husbands family and Christmas day with mine. There is always slooow days in January to take an extra day off here and there, that is when I will rest and give extra of myself to my kids and family, they understand.

We will be closed on December 24th ....

we are not usually open on Sundays, except on call orders for funerals. This too will be our last Christmas with Mom, and we are an all family business ... therefore we will be enjoying time with family. We give up the rest of our year to our customers and this time will be selfish. The last time we stayed open for a Sunday Christmas Eve, we could have scratched our butts all afternoon. The last time we stayed open on a Sunday Valentine's Day we had about 3 customers ... everyone is used to the fact that we are not open for business on Sunday. So I'm with the ones who want to spend the time with family this year. We are enjoying every moment we have now.

We are open and delivering, although probably closing at 3pm, seeing as it is a Sunday I don't think we would have the after lunch business like a weekday 24th. Thankfully closed the 26th, at least I get 2 days off!
