We are still Teleflora, pretty much down to sending only, and we've never bought any of their containers. Novelty containers of any kind don't sell here, so we stock just clear glass vases, in different styles. When we get a call (we got rid of Dove too) we tell them we can do similar flowers but the container will be a generic clear glass, they usually try someone else, which works fine for us. We figure that by the time they are calling us, they have exhausted all the shops that have Dove, and no one wants the order.

I LOVE the Teleflora containers even though I'm not a member. I can usually buy plenty of them at decent prices from Florists going out of business. The one I can never find is the little Weber Grill. 4 florists out of business around here in the last year and only 1 cute little red grill :(

And what does that tell you? I too have gotten tons of TF containers from florists that went OOB. I always wonder why they had so much of their money sitting in a box that has never been opened.

One shop went OOB 2 years ago and I still have a few of the heavy orange glass containers from Thanksgiving, I think in 06? We got at least 2 full cases of these from the other shop.

My answer in the poll is 0. I don't have any of them. I'd rather find containers that are way more reasonable so I can use fantastic flowers!

My goodness this thread is looking worse and worse every day. Does Teleflora really think that its members are going to step up and carry more of their codified products?

I wonder if there is a plan in place to force us to have these containers?

Guess I must be in the minority, but I love a classier container, unless it's Teleflora's vases that run into the $30 range, some of them do not appeal to people for the price point. We try to encourage people that are buying for themselves to buy the nicer container and have us refill it for them for when they have company or whatever. Mostly our folks complain about the cheap vases that are filling their cupboards. We have one guy that works at a flower shop, he keeps the same 6 inch cube circulating by having it refilled for each one of their birthdays, pricey to start, but they have a nice arrangement to look forward to. We also have a reputation for doing more designed, high style arrangements in foam, than the vase arrangements, although we get some requests for that too. We try not to stay locked into just one look, and some of the TF containers give us more options as well as other sources for pottery. We have also utilized the Dollar Store glass and glass cubes by using foam and covering it with river rock, very popular look for us, and we can do all price points that way.
