Let us now how you like it. I've been considering one for our shop. And I swear I'm going to order it everytime I find myself sticking on letters. Can't wait to hear if it was worth the investment!

I can tell you it is well worth the investment.

On this one I really don't think...opinions vary

Love our ribbon printer. Have found that the biggest use for it is for the school system...we make personalized ribbons for the Homecoming Court, for the seniors on Senior Night, for graduations, sports recognitions, etc. etc.

We also make it a point to use for new babies: name, date, weight, heigth, etc.

There are lots and lots of cute graphics on th web to incorporate on ribbons. In our shop, it's not just for funerals!

Have fun!!

Tammy,
I don't have to start it to know it is a good investment.
Here are my reasons:
1. You can do a professional banners for any occasions in any language. No more sticky fingers or ribbons or glue string or staples or whatever you use to put them on.

2. Save time: You can have different banners pre-made ready to go for funerals. Or even have them save on your computer. I f you need to do a banner for a funeral you can just bring it up, add a name if you need to and print. All done.

3. You can offer banners for many occasions...Happy Birthdays, Anniversaries, grand openings, WElcome home, Get well soon, etc....and personalize them with names, dates, with logos.

4. You can do small ribbons which you can ad to arr like Mother's Day....Like Happy Mother's Day Mom, or We love you mom, etc. Fierello does not to my knowledge do small ribbons.

5. You can contact your legion branch during poppy week when they go out and sell their wreath for rememberance day....For every banner you do for them, THey get $5.00 sell those banners for $10.00. You still make $5.00 which is plenty enough to cover your cost and profit.

Do I need to say more?????

So many possibility....Think outside the box

I used their ribbons. My total investment is less than $700.00

The initial investiment comes with the printer, 1 roll of ribbon and 1 roll of thermal film.

You can start with that if you want. I got extra color ribbon, thermal film and smaller ribbon.

You can visit their website and see for yourself.

I saw the firello machine in action....Now this Elite printer, is cheaper, does more and now I am playing witht he big guys.

What else can I inspire you to do??????

This week, one of my donations will be to "The Pink Ribbon Tea" for Breast Cancer Awareness. This is a fund raising event to earn money for low income women to pay for mamograms. I will be making ribbon sash's with different sayings for contest winners (much like "Miss America"). So you see, there are a ton of ways to use these printers. The longer you have it, the more uses you'll find. GREAT PURCHASE!!

Luc... I'm curious, does the smaller ribbon come with a smaller roll of film? Or is there more waste when you use smaller ribbon?

No waste, THe way I was explained it that when the film is finish on one side, you change it around and use the other side. The film is 4" wide and uses the edge of the fil instead of the middle of the film like the firello machine. SO your film goes further.
THe cost roughly to print a banner is from .06 for a narrow ribbon to ..17 cents for the cleopatra wide ribbon. This price is based on a 12" banner. If you do 2 or 3 times that lenghts your cost is minimal and profit is higher...
You can easily get $10.00 for a funeral banner especially when you show them what you can give them.

What's a good price?
On flowerbuyer they have them for under $600. Around $550, I think.
I'm thinking about. In my area, don't do enough funeral work to warrant it.
But, I'm loving the other ideas I see here.
How do they work? Do you insert an ink cartridge? Can you use different colors of ink? I also see on fb, that there are attachments to print on different sized ribbons.

there is NO ink cartridges.....this is a direct thermal transfer machine.
The printer "transfers" the wax film directly to the ribbon!!
$499.00 is a great buy......
