I can see you on my website

yes it has to be on every page of your site.

Or in a common footer or included page or .dwt.

After you have registered your site with Clicky, you are given two lines of HTML code that you need to copy into your web site. Clicky can only track clicks on pages that have this code. Most web pages have what are called "header" and "footer" files, or sometimes "template" files. These are chunks of your web site that are automatically included on every page. By putting the tracking code into any of these files, it will automatically start working with every single page on your web site! If you do not have headers or footers, you will have to copy the tracking code onto every single page manually that you want us to track. Unfortunately there is no way around that

I like the feature that allows us to assign a name to each customers ip address. This allows us to monitor our regular customers habits, it's actually a bit big brotherish on our part.

Today I was monitoring one of my customers prior to her call. I already pretty much new what she wanted before she even said a word.

I found another one called crazyegg.com today - haven't delved into it much but the heatmap and the confetti looks potentially quite kewl.

wow.. that is just too cool! I can't wait...I better get some work done NOW before.. I get lured to the desk ..to watch what they are doing..

You know what's a funny side effect of this? If I see that someone was looking around but I don't see an order, I'm like, oh MAN why???? **Sob**

JB,

Crazy Egg is good - but I actually found Clicktale to be a great alternative. It's more robust in handling different types of sites.

Either way it's awesome. I can't remember if I've posted any heatmaps here before, but we use them at Strider all the time to diagnose site usability issues. Insert plug: Session recording and heatmaps play a bit part of the product development for Florist 2.0. /plug

Looks like you have an FTD site, just contact the web services dept., I think the head of the dept. is David Richter. They should add the code for no charge. They'll let you know what they need from you.

...ftd says they do not support that code. :hammer:They Suggest to go to google analytics and use the google analytics type code. Anyone have experience w/ this?

These things in life just are not easy.

Then whoever you talked to is lying or mistaken. The code is no different than implementing Google Analytics.

Maybe dorofino can shed some light?

There could be some SSL problems, you may need to upgrade to PRO to get acquire a different code. Ask FTD if it has to do with SSL.
