Freedom of Speech

I am at a loss for words. I have surveyed other boards and at Flower Chat I have ALWAYS felt that I could ask for help. With that help comes understanding and answers to my questions. Never have I felt belittled for asking questions. I don't think I could say that of other boards.
Freedom of speech is NOT a problem at this board.

Well, it's pretty obvious that the freedom of speech rant is simply a smoke screen that he's created to make himself look good or to appear to be a victim. Whiner that he is.

Whoever that is, he has a very derange view of what happened. We asked questions he did not answer, who needs him. He seemed like a trouble making a-hole, muckraker idiot...

I have read around that other board, IMHO they talk about the same issues as here. Alot of the same names as here. That board is set up so you have to filter through all the crap that doesn't interest you in order to read the stuff that does. This board is easier to read. That is why I came here more regular in the beginning. Now that I have made "friends" I am comfortable here. I love this place. He can pound sand for all I care..

'Memo' was banned from FC a few years ago under a different user name - Blue Oyster Cult. That's why he was deliberately vague with his replies in his intro thread. He was fibbing about who he was, what he did and why he was here.

He was one of the very few members here whose posts I put on 'ignore' because he spent much of his time either bitterly complaining or personally attacking other members.

'Memo' mostly posted in the other board under the name 'Shelby' and his personal attacks of Boss, Bloomz, Ryan and others goes back years.

He is sorely confused about freedom of speech, constantly demanding 'his rights' without displaying respect for others or responsibility for his own words.

In most cases, the law allows him to say what he wants - but there's no law (Canadian or otherwise ;) ) to forced us to listen to it.
 
Full Disclosure: I'm Canadian.

I'm one of those Canadians that loves the USA and is grateful for all that you do for us and the rest of the world. There is no getting around the fact that if it wasn't for you guys we would have been speaking Russian for the past 50 years!

FlowerChat represents so much of what I love about America and the free market system. As far as I know (and I could be wrong about this) Ryan has the site hosted on a server in the US. Why? Because they offer the best service and price.

I can't say for sure but I would guess the majority of the moderators (hard-working volunteers that look after the site) are American. Why? Because they were the best people for the job.

People come to FlowerChat from all over the English-speaking world. Why? Because it's a great resource.

It's just my opinion but FlowerChat seems like such a beautiful working model of free market / no borders ideals.

If he really believed in American free-market values, he should really be focusing on why his site is not drawing the traffic that this one does. He should really think about what he's doing wrong, and he might actually learn something from the success of this site. He has ever opportunity to make his site the best for his users, but, instead, he would rather just complain and be negative.

Negativity only leads you down a negative path.

For the record...his rants and a direct attack on myself personally. He "was" a friend, but has chosen to make it personal for what ever reason. He's a "florist" and in no way has any connection to the other board other than being a poster there.

Really folks, it's not worth our time to worry about it.
