If you retired today...

Well, We'd just move an hour down the south coast in NSW, Australia, I already live in one of the most beautiful parts of Australia, and we'd also have a summer home just north of Toronto, Ont., Canada which is where I'm from, my dream is to share both, so we can spend time with both our families, I miss home, and that would make me soooooo happy ))))))))

That is the plan anyway.......

I've always wanted to retire "down south". There's a beautiful country town a few hours south of here - Margaret River. Some of you may have heard of it - it is famous for surfing and for the wine growing region. I don't surf but I do like a drink! Beautiful forrests and bushland, and some of the worlds best Cabernet Sauvignon.

Ozzyblooms, do you want to retire to the Muskoka's?

grand marais michigan in the summer.

not sure about the winter... not looking to be a snow bird and do the florida/texas thing.

Maybe grand marais in the winter too. as long as I have a good supply of books, crafts and netflicks. Oh and the hubby too.

I went past your place Sat. I was going to stop~

I don't think i will ever retire from this biz. My hubby is 10 years younger SO my big plan is to buy a vineyard up in Travers City and open a cute little place where brides can get married in the vineyard and I have a nice little stuido where I can design flowers on the site~ and the reception can beheld there too.... just a dream of mine:rofl:

Utila, Honduras. Beautiful island. Friendly people. No need for a car, or airconditioning or heat in the winters. Warm Caribean water. Great diving. Low cost of living. Cheap, quality medical care. Yup! I would be there now but my wife likes it here and you know how that goes, gotta keep the little lady happy :kuddle:

I'm waiting for winning the lottery and then off to ireland to visit all the little pubs. At the moment I see myself working at 80, cranky, and not afraid to tell customers my exact thoughts. No point in a swear jar for that would be filled up daily. So no retirement for me, as it is there is no extra money for any savings.

Can't even afford the cardboard box!!

Guessing I better aquire a taste for catfood!

That would be great V , but anywhere really just north of Barrie, Parry Sound or Muskoka area...ahhhhhh

Thanks for askin :thumbsup

The picture in my avatar is Bass Lake, just outside of Port Carling. That whole area and the Lion's Head to Tobermory area of the Georgian Bay are truly my favourite places on earth.

I've been doing research and it will be somewhere down south but not Florida, I've already lived there. Maybe Kentucky or Tennessee, there are some beautiful areas.
