Is the dam about to burst with sales tax being levied on Internet orders?

Not sure who you're asking this question to, but I myself dropped SAF because they chose for years not to speak out about order gathering and deceptive marketing by non-florists and florists alike, not to mention the wire services. In fact, Mr Moran basically condoned the practice in one editorial.

He did more than condone it. He recommended it!

I honestly think that he was trying to get florists to come into the 21st century. He wasn't recommending that we all get out there and deceive the consumer, he was really just trying to get florists to compete instead of gripe, to get off their butts and DO something about it.

I do, however, agree with Boss that when SAF SHOULD have fought the order gathering, they instead made one of the dOGs the marketer of the year. That still burns me.

I agree. You make a sale, you collect and pay the tax. Doesn't matter where it is delivered. Where your license is, is home. If you have more than one location then you could pay different taxes for each location. Depends on what state, what county, what city. When I had a business that was mobile I paid taxes based on sales in a particular city, seemed fair.
