Well I realize there has not been any action on this thread for a few days. Probably because everybody has finished with their Valentine's preparations but this year it has been a comedy of errors for me. I have been going one step forward and three steps back for weeks.
First I had all my pre orders for flowers done and then our local rose grower decided to go organic which is great in the long term but in the short term he had an aphid problem. He was not sure it would be resolved by Valentines so I told him I couldn't take the chance and switched the roses I had ordered from him to our local wholesaler. Next thing I know the wholesaler's wife leaves him and he is distraught and doesn't care about the business right now and has let some things slide. In the meantime the grower resolved the aphid problem so I ended up re ordering from him.
Then I get all my Valentine pictures up on my site thinking that is finished but I thought I was being smart and I added a red border to all the pictures which ended up causing problems with my website so I had to re do all the pictures and upload them again.
I checked all my competitor's websites and my prices fall exactly in the middle -less expensive than most of the independent florists but more expensive than all the teleflora and ftd sites which is fine with me because I remember the days when I was a member and lost all that money.
I decided I would send out emails with a video of Valentine's flowers but when I tried to attach the video it didn't work so I did a short Youtube video and provided the link. I finally got that done but when I uploaded it to Youtube the picture disolve didn't work properly so I redid the video with a slide instead.
I was happy to see today that my video came up on page one for searches for Valentine's Flowers Victoria BC. That was until I clicked on it only to discover that it was for the YouTube video that I replaced so now all it says is "video withdrawn by user".

Anyway it was a good idea to get found in searches but even though I deleted the original video and replaced it with the new one within 5 minutes only the old deleted one appears.
I just finished my Blog tonight because of all this other stuff happening.

I think I am finally ready and I can't wait for Valentines to be over . Is it really worth all this work? I don't know. I hope so.
