John Henry Prom Book

I love my brand new JH prom book. Just wish i could get the kids to come in instead of the parents. I have urged them to send the kids in to no avail. They would be easier to sell to. The parents love the stuff but not sure if the kids want to get that daring. I have been telling them that the kids today are daring and much more sophisticated than we were. I have been able to up grade a bit with the fitz bracelets and the rhinestones... Baby steps, I guess. I am one of the few doing things like this. I am getting compliments on how different my corsages are. Even got 2 weddings from them.
 
One way around parents ordering for the kids is to take the book to the kids. I approached a local high school and asked permission to set up a table in the lunch area at lunch time two weeks before prom and then the first couple of days the week of prom. I donated 10% of everything sold at school to the Junior class.
One day the Junior class officers dressed in tuxes (donated by a local store) and the girls prom dresses. They were working it like a fundraiser, drumming up business for me. They made posters to put in the halls telling what time and days I was setting up in the commons area outside the lunchroom. Sold more than I could handle! Might be worth a try for you!

I will give it some thought for next year. Sounds like a great idea.
 
How do you advertise said open house? How do you reach that specific target market?? The schools are very difficult to get mailing list from with the amount of creeps in the world.
