For all of you members of Flower chat that would like to get together in Kansas City at the AIFD Symposium....we have a time, date and place.

It will be held at 6:00 at the SKIES Restaurant on the 42nd floor. This is a rotating restaurant where you can enjoy the beauty of Kansas City as we meet and dine.

Depending on how many RSVP, I can probably get a menu to you if that helps.

Please send a note on this thread telling me if you plan to attend and how many will be with you and their names. Please have this completed by July 8, so, I can finalize with the restaurant.

Tuesday, July 14 is the date. We are on our own for dinner that night....so, this is just perfect.

Going to add a little extra info regarding the Supershuttle from the Hotel to the Airport and Vice Versa.

YOU WILL NEED TO MAKE A RESERVATION FROM THE AIRPORT TO THE HOTEL. I talked to the hotel and they confirmed.

Now, You can reserve online.....but if you call on the phone.....they have a phone-in discount that beats the Foundation discount.

I have a feeling that we will be there for several hours, so, come when you can. Just let me know if you plan to eat.

I will have my digital camera there, my laptop, and spare blank cd's

What I will do is pull all the day's pictures off the camera to the computer, then move them to disc.

I can then post highlights, lowlights, and whatever else catches the camera's eye.

And depending on how much the hotel charges for internet access.....I may even try to post some pictures while there at the hotel.

There may several people involved in meetings, etc. If you can get away for a drink or so later on, please let me know so we will wait to see you.

... It doesn't say that we have to make reservations before we get there, so we may be able to get the same 2 for 1 price when we are in KC.

Just got this invitation for AIFD attendees for an event Tues from 6 pm to 8 pm at Creative Candles.

Guest appearance by Eddie Ross (finalist in Bravo TVs Top Design).

Wonder if we can all meet up after this. Having toured CC factory years ago, it really is a cool place.

I'm OK with skipping the event, too. Wish they would have decided to send the invites out earlier. grrrrrr

I would not ind touring CC factory - but I can do without Mr. Martha Stewart wannabe Eddie Ross. He was NOT my favorite contestant.

Although if given a choice between the two - FC would win out.
 
FYI - I found out how much the hotel charges for internet usage according to the Hyatt corporate website - 9.99 for a 24 hour period - high speed wireless.

Since a few Flower chatters have emailed me about this tour....let's move the dinner up to 8:00. but, several of us will go ahead and have a bottle of wine or three starting around 6:00 in case anyone comes early.

Please let me know if you can drop buy to meet and greet the others.
