Kfc Bashing Flowers????

Shel I could care less if you dropped SAF, Teleflora, AND FTD. Yes you were bashing SAF, when KFC was the culprit.

Just your comments sometimes get a bit insulting. (yeah, the greed one on the other board, somehow I don't qualify as a florist in your eyes since I have a decent internet business?) I'm a free thinker too.

Bash SAF or me and I'll say something in their defense. Bash George Bush and I'm there with you.

Does KFC have a "leg" to stand on? Unfortunately they do.
Our chances of being heard are but by a "wing" and a prayer. I believe in prayer.
We must keep a"breast" of the situation.
Next time I am in their "neck" of the woods I just might stop in and give this one manager of a KFC that I really like a lot some flowers and see if she might go "back" to the powers that be and convince them that flowers are a good thing.
They might react by saying I don't care, it's no "skin" off my nose or they just might be human and have a "heart".

The pun to PLOP was a joke...you have insulted PLOP many times over....AND SO HAVE ME BUT GEEZ....I guess having fun anymore has become a mute point.

I also just sent a message to KFC regarding this insensitive commercial. The floral industry needs to stand up & be heard. As much as I love KFC chicken, I won't be dining there until they stop running this commercial.

That is good news....I was going to boycott KFC, which wouldn't have been too awfully bad, but when I realized they also are associated with Taco Bell, well, that would've been a lot more of a sacrifice!

Yes all of the thousands of emails, letters,calls and threats got their attention. I spent 1 hour on Monday on the phone with them explaining the finer points of why the floral industry is mad as hell, and they'd be wise to change the ad's.

I know S.A.F. sent them a letter also as they gave me a copy of it.
 
Hurray! KFC here we come!

When I told my husband we were boycotting KFC, well - if looks could kill I'd be dead. You'd have thought someone told him his best friend just died.

I emailed them a handful just like lots of folks here did also. I wonder who got to them.

Imagine if TFTD listened and responded like that. Well, one can imagine, but that's about it, unfortunately.

I've never seen the commercial in questuion, I just went by what was said here. I guess I never will now, if they really are changing them all. That's fine!

I expect many others did the same as I did phone wise too.

Sometimes it's good to pull out the ole This is the President of Blossoms Network speaking on the phone, gets some attention.

All that matters is they changed it, but keep your ears and eyes open for more idiots bashing the business in the next few months.

I know they did write a letter as I got a copy of said letter. Just a matter of everyone hitting KFC at once with outrage.

So a pat on the back goes out to everyone working together to get this problem removed before too much damage was done.
 
FULL Ad Ran Last Night in Bama

Maybe it will take a day to filter down south, but, it ran last night.
I will be sending another 1/2 doz comments through their site.
Our North Central Alabama Florists' Association Christmas party is tonight.
I will be alerting about 30 other florists about this also.

Thanks Peter and others for your work on our behalf.
 
Never did like KFC...so boycotting isn't an issue for me...however, further reasons to continue not liking their product.
 
Boycotting PizzaHut, TacoBell and KFC (they're the same company) isn't a problem for me since I don't usually eat that stuff but if it's good for the industry, I'll write the company. Passed the word and everyone here will boycot.
