Couldn't agree more. . . .

Couldn't agree less. . . .
Bloomz,
I would have really liked to read comments from you during the Clinton years. It's too bad the comments on this board only go back to 2002.
No man is perfect, and especially in american politics where there is so much giving and taking to make any forward progress that any of us could point fingers at certain aspects of any administrations policies and decisions.
I believe even you would have to admit that the world is a better place with Sadam out of the way.
Hey, it's my day off and I am waiting for new motorcycle goodies, so...
In short, I think Clinton was the best President of my lifetime, and so did my Republican Ike man daddy. Give me gas for a buck a gallon and a booming economy anytime, and don't tell me it was all cooked books cuz I don't care where it comes from as long as it is there. My business was thriving and growing, not just surviving.
But Bama, I'm afraid bloomz would rather have Sadaam back in power than 18,000 (
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/5057703/ ) new al quaeda "troops" hungry for vengeance now, the direct result of removing Sadaam and turning Iraq into a terrorist magnet. So we sort of ran them out of Afghanistan, but where they be now, they didn't resign from terrorism. They got stronger, MORE organized, BETTER equiped to hurt us. We knew they were these kind of people when he CHOSE to attack them. If you're going after this kind of zealots who don't mind dying, it's a good idea to pack a lunch cuz it's gona go on to your children's children's lives, AND something else you should consider is a VALID REASON not based on lies, misinformation, bad intelligence and fabrications. Dropping bombs, attacking a sovereign nation isn't something you get to later say "oops, we were wrong" which nearly everybody now BUT George has said.
Some claim Iraq was harboring terrorists. Saddam was many evil things, but he was not an Islamic extremist. We plan to turn power over to a country that is 60% Shia Muslim. Think about this, we have created another Islamic state. Saddam killed any Muslim cleric that spoke out and was considered an enemy of Islam. We are now seeing an Islamic uprising in Iraq, and while we will crush this, TEMPORARILY, it will happen again and again and again and again. Terrorists trained in Afghanistan not Iraq for a reason, Saddam feared them and therefore would kill anyone who had any connection with them. Now with Saddam gone they are pouring into the country, WE have made Iraq a home for terrorist. "Muslims make up 96 percent of Iraq’s population"( MSNBC)
So in the end we have created another hate filled Islamic state that will be vent on revenge at the cost of our servicemen and women and billions and billions of dollars from OUR economy. Do you feel safer now ?
These zealots WILL not stop and we create more of them with every bullet, bomb or humiliation.
You just can't get them all, they (Muslims) are nearly 1/4 of the world's population. Attacking them was a terrible mistake of the highest caliber, bound to have repercussions for centuries to come.
Let's see, we went there (DECLARED reasons)
to find WMD - that "issue" is done.
Remove Sadaam from power - that "issue" is done.
Wasn't it a year ago that W claimed MISSION ACCOMPLISHED? With flight suit costume and huge PR stunt. I'd say that SHOULD mean, TIME TO GO HOME.
So what are we doing there? Blowing money and lives and accomplishing nothing except making more enemies. I can't imagine ANYONE who could skru this world up worse than W has. Think of the mess the next guy in has to clean up.
It gets worse DAILY.
The world is a MUCH more dangerous place than it was a couple years ago. So the short answer is, no, the world is not a better place without him. I am not glad he is no longer in power, he knew how to control islamic zealots, you don't "win their hearts and minds - you kill them" and he did a very good job of that.
(Now watch someone come along and call me a Sadaam lover - and yes I know who that will be)
Best regards Bama, don't mean for any of this to sound caustic toward a fellow florist friend, just gets a little passionate at times cuz things are SO skrude up now.
Funny thing tho, lest some think I am just a tree hugger, I wanted us to go to Afghanistan and do what was necessary, and THAT was necessary. But he failed at that too, left the job before it was done. He truly is a miserable failure, the worst I have ever seen.
