Thank you - I sent for one of the copies.

I also saw it listed on Ebay for a starting price of $9.99 shipping from Washington.

I love the books by the Cowlings - their designs in both their bridal and sympathy floristry books are gorgeous

The House Plant Expert, by Dr. D. G. Hassayon, a fairly comprehensive and comprehensible book on flowering and green houseplants.

Awesome reference--a must have is you sell plants. When people call wanting care tips, we can just read them a few and recommend the book.

Ken Royer's "Retailing Flowers Profitably"--can't say enough. A must read. There's a reason it's been recommended by so many people in this short thread.

For general business aspects, I'd strongly recommend "Good to Great". It might take two reads before it starts to sink in, but the take home messages will completely change your business vision. Pay attention to hedgehog concept, tentacles and BHAG.

Gregor Lersch- Principles of Floral Design and Sources of Creativity are my two favorite books! I saw him give a demonstration a couple of years ago and he is brilliant in person. I also love Daniel Ost's work. Paula Pryke books are good too, also a good book from Tiawan is Elly's Botanical Flowers. (I think that is the name, the designer is Elly Lin.)

Have borrowed my boss's Elly Lin, fabulous!! As for Gregor Lersch, doing his workshops here in September I just cannot wait!!!!!! Seen him in UK few years back, everyone needs to go see him if he visits a place near you!

wanted to bump this thread... I ordered "Beans" (almost done, GREAT book),
"Good to Great", and just today "Retailing Flowers Profitably" came in the mail. I want to thank everyone for the recommendations and say, keep 'em coming!
