I actually did the opposite. I spent 10 years working on a masters degree in Psychology while working at a Florist. When it came time to work in the Psychology field and start my internship I realized suddenly that I couldn't imagine ever doing anything but flowers. That's when I took a crazy leap and opened my shop rather than going down that career path. Man I learned a lot in those 10 years though. Wouldn't trade that education for anything.
