They would like to think no one looks at their contracts and can "bully" you into accepting their reply, but really, what's a contract for except to hold the other party to the "rules" set up in the beginning!

Tell them you never signed the newer contract and can only abide by the one they signed you to years (or months) ago. Old trick but stick to your guns. I know of a few florists who have done this AND WON!!!

I don't know how BN's contract reads but from TFTD there is a clause in there that they can change it at will and you're bound by it.

In October 2006 i resigned from my relay / wire service in the UK, this caused many sleepless nights and lots of arguments within my family. Its seven months on now, post Mothers day and Valentines day and i can honestly say i have no regrets. The numbers aren't so high but the profit is much better and the satisfaction of a job well done is great. The days are numbered for these middlemen, the public are wising up to charges and commissions and they don't like it!!!!!!!!!!
Regards Shaun

So there you go. How much more proof do you guys need? Its been two and half years for me and its the same here. I have been saying it over and over. And yet someone from the UK has done the same!

More profits and no looking back whats so ever.

From California to the UK.

Stop Filling And Stop Sending!!!

6 years for us. What took you guys so long?

It works two fold for smaller towns, giving your competition the no money orders while you take their 100% customers.

So sorry to hear about your problems with Bloomnet. You will probably never see your money from them. I dropped the service and they still charged me for the the outdated book. I have turned them into the BBB because they have never paid me for product and services rendered. It will not be easy. I faxed over a letter to resign my membership becauseI was not getting a response form my rep, that seemed to get their attention. I was contacted once after turning them in to BBB have not heard form them again or seen a check for my services In Feb March07. Good Luck ....

I am now using only Flower Shop Network. I love the program it is what they say it is, they are honest and upfront. It did take a bit of time to get going online but it is so worth it, I know whats coming . Paid same day if it is a call in order or paid by check if the order goes thru FSN .No special contiainers, and you can be creative most of the orders are call in, found me online using FSN . It gives me the opportunity to up sell products increasing my per order price .I set my delivery fee and my minimum order . For now this is working for me and I have so much less stress because when I call I talk to a live person that knows what I refering to and she really does call me back.

New BloomNet FLoral Guide

I don't know how BN's contract reads but from TFTD there is a clause in there that they can change it at will and you're bound by it.

Since when can legal contracts be changed "at will" ?? That's why they are called contracts -- a legal binding document between parties. The courts wouldn't like to see a company who can "at will" change anything.
Employers can change a compensation plan mid way through the process, they can change pricing, rules etc. But a contract should be binding in court. Any changes have to be initialed, dated and acknowledged by both parties. Florists I know who want out of a wire service simply hold to their guns, read their contracts and force the other "party" to adhere to the words.

Don't bend---be the strong branch!!

NewBloom Net Design Book

I saw your post and I am telling you Bloomlink is a very very bad wire service we belong to them for 6 month and they are not good news

BLoom Net is patterned after Teleflora's business model. Stay tuned for more things to come. They will eventually be a "mini-me"

Sweetpeas,
I use FSN exclusively now also and I have been VERY happy with them. No surprises and no "twists" to the membership.

I am FINALLY making some money with my wire outs and not going in the hole like I was with TF. You always get 20% of every order sent and there are no "fees" to eat those profits up. I made over $250 through the Mothers Day holiday on my 20% and didn't have to give a single penny of it up in other fees.

One thing that was mentioned in another post, not sure if it was this thread or not, was that some are leary of switching to one of the lesser known wire services because you don't know who belongs and if they are good and reputable florists? This confuses me because can't Anybody be a member of TF, FTD, or Bloomlink as long as they sign up and pay their fees? Obviously they can since they allow the OG's to be members.
I had at least half a dozen complaints when I was with TF for wire out orders over Christmas (using the Dove) for customers not feeling like they got their moneys worth and orders not being delivered on time. To me, that seems like a pretty high average. Then of course there were the refused orders that had to be dealt with, etc. etc. Way too much trouble!!
I haven't had a single complaint with FSN in the 4 months that I've been using them, even through Mothers Day. I think the florists that belong are every bit as reputable as members of TF, FTD, and Bloom.

The switch is easy, I promise.

oops

After re-reading my post, I realized like the whole thing seemed written to Sweetpeas.... LOL
Actually only that first paragraph was.... the rest was just my rambling to anybody that would listen... :hammer:

800 selection guide

it does come with a cd of the images. i just downloaded mine.
the price tag is terrible, but, i guess we're stuck with it. i dont' send many out but we do receive alot... i would send out more, but, usually i have to use the other wire service book to look up a zipcode for a funeral home or whatever because if your customer does not have it, you can't get past that point on sending one off...
